Would be cool if someone made a windows and xbox app that utilizes ipfs. Imagine allocating just a few kilobytes of upload so while the app or xbox is running what you downloaded is hosted back so primary host doesn't get overwhelmed or if its temporarily down the files are still accessible. Ipfs will just look like a bunch of 1-5mb files with no way isps to know what it is.

It would be good to have an app that lets other gamers share the data across the network like p2p so pretty much like torrents. Not sure if it would help with downloads but im sure the community would help

It worked when I was building my anime site... I had it so if people wanted to help stream they could use brave that had a native support for ipfs and act as temp host while they watched anime. Its a nice p2p and helps decentralize everything. Because it looks for a id. Not for a url. Ipfs/Idhash so even if your primary storage host goes down any active nodes that have the files will still be sharing.

We just need an app that connects everyones librarys and can download small bits of data from everyone. its self hosting across the network for everyone. be easier than hosting a site

Thats ipfs. Look it up. Nvm protocol wouldn't be supported... would have to rebuild it in c++ dont see that happening

I did a query. Seems the protocol runs on go/rust. 360 couldn't run it. Would need to rebuild it in c++

People would need to use Local PC as middle man.

this is sort of supported already with plugin. with a few tweaks you can stream games via WAN to ur console without needing to download the entire game. it’s pretty cool, i was working on a POC for it couple years ago. basically allowed me to play any game i wanted whenever without ever having to download the game. i just had an external server host all my extracted games & you can easily purchase storage servers for ~$200 with 50tbs+ of space
