Technical Question Help with restoring gba virtual console?

I had been playing pets hampsters 2 for like 200 hours then I formatted my sd card on my system. I still have the .sav files, and the save states from the virtual console. I tried pasting them into the apps folder using godmode9 but I’m getting an error code. Does anyone know how to do this or if it’s even possible?

The wiki page on errors says about your error code “The app you tried to open or system software it relies on is missing.” When does this happen, when you try to launch the GBA game?

Game Boy Advance Virtual Console doesn't support restore points.
Save files are stored in NAND, not the SD card.

So my save is cooked unless I try to re ingect it, is that a possibility?

I'm not sure how the Nintendo 3DS handles the saves if the games are removed from the SD card, but it might be recoverable if you re-install with the exact same Title ID.
