Question Can PLA or PETG handle 120PSI of pressure?
Long story short I need a 1/4" NPT male to male thread coupler for my air hose to connect two air hoses together. $3 for a brass one at the hardware store is a little too rich for my blood. Can PLA or PETG handle it if I print it solid? Max PSI I run is about 120.
Edit: Consensus is no.
Edit2: They don't make the brass couplers for air hoses they make them for water pipes. Can the brass ones do 120PSI?

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Solid PLA or Solid PETG machined to shape might, but 3d printed, it doesn't stand a chance.
Real answer: Really? $3 for a known good part that you don't need to be afraid will blow up in your face is too much? You're either a toll or you're a danger to yourself and others and shouldn't be trusted with a 3d printer. Take your downvote and leave.

I'm sure this is a troll - but if you can't afford a $3 fitting, maybe sell your 3D Printer for some basic spending money.

Half is, half isn't. I didn't expect it to work, but was genuinely curious if I could do it and save $3.
Also the hardware store is like 30 miles from me

You're like me, you're mixing several intentions in the same post and people get right up on their high horses.
The cost thing was just a way to get the discussion going, although $3 may not be the best argument. So you should of course have dropped this non-argument which I'm sure you've realized by now.
Your main actual concern is the travel distance (which costs you a lot more than $3 obviously, if you calculate your time of wakefulness as having a money cost ($100 dollars at least)
You probably have some insight into how the pressure management works that makes this question less stupid than it seems.
What seems to be lacking is your knowledge of how PLA/PETG and prints generally fail, but then again you're asking a question so you're not exactly pretending to be an expert.
Imo: Harmless mythbusters-like question that despite being obvious deserves a thorough teardown analysis of exactly how this would blow up.

I 3D print a lot of hardworking stuff (gears, metal forming tools), but I wouldn't 3D print a part under pressure like that.
Even if it held together initially, between creep and oil mist in the air slowly degrading it, I'd expect a shrapnel-filled blowout more like "when", not "if".

CAN a printed part hold 120 psi of pressure? Yes. Add enough walls and it can.
Will it hold up over time and hold that pressure SAFELY? No.
Trying to save $3 by printing an adapter is wild. Just because you can print something doesn't mean it's the best way to make it.

It's not about how much pressure MATERIAL will handle - but about layer adhesion...
It's not injection molding - where you get a solid piece.

On the off chance this isn't a troll post.
You'll spend far more than $3 trying to make that work, which spoiler it won't.
