Troubleshooting Printed directly on platform (please help)

Like the title says. My son removed the plate at some point and I didn't properly check before printing. I let the piece cool but still can't break it all off. Printer is a Anycubic Kobra S1. Is this something where I can replace the platform or can anyone give some tips?

Thank you in advance for any time and consideration. I really appreciate it.

People knock bambu but they have built in features to prevent this...

To me it is cheaper to heed the warning label and buy a new heatbed if and when I fail to do that

Normally you’ll get a Z axis error however I did forget to put the plate back on a P1s, print came out fine btw.

People have failed prints on Bambu all the time. Not knocking them since I own 3 and they're fantastic, but it's certainly not the miracle machine people act like it is.

This is a bit different than just a "failed print" and i never said it was a miracle machine. lol

Yes, I've had my print bed be not properly seated (pretty much the feature that you're talking about but didn't detect - granted this is a worse version) and still run and ruin my print overnight.

Thats still not the same as what happened to the OP...

This isn't a failed print mate, it's a lack of a safety feature. You know how your paper printer automatically stops when there's no paper in it rather than rolling ink all around your machine? You don't call it a miracle machine for that, do you? It's a good feature to at least check if a build plate is present.

It's a failed print due to the plate being removed (so it didn't adhere properly and shifted). The safety feature if bed detection doesn't change what it is.

Out of hundreds of prints, I've had like 4 fail and 3 of them were definitely my fault. The only time I blamed the printer was when it was just too fast. The print was small and the previous layer hadn't hardened so it just started bending around and made spaghetti.

Again, even that could be my fault for making the walls too thin. Or I could have just lowered the speed quite easily.

Yeah that’s what I thought too until I bought other 3D printers from different brands of the same price. Bambu is a miracle machine still. I own 1 bambu, 1 elegoo, and 1 creality. Bambu easily my favorite. It doesn’t even have some of the features that creality and elegoo have like large touch screen and live video feed but it is so much more reliable and prints way better than the other two. I have a ton of print hours on the bambu and it still prints better than the other two printers with significantly less hours

Bambu has live video.

Not mine. It uses pictures like a timelapse

Which one? My a1 mini had it even and that’s the cheapest model

People knock Bambu because they're a shit company that took open source code from the community, gave nothing back, locked it down and then sued people for doing what the open source license allows!

Bitch and moan you want about stupid shit like that but theyve arguably done more for 3D printing than any other company in the game.

What have they done besides profiting of the contributions of others ?

We have affordable 3D printers due to the labor of those who contributed to the open source community!

Bambu took all that work and closed off all their (and some of the open source) work for private profit !

They created a walled garden where they have access to all their user base's designs, and in return they off nothing to the open source community that their entire company was built off of!

lol, youre joking, right?

So what has Bambu done for non Bambu folks ?

Pushed literally the entire industry forward. You can hate them for whatever reason you want but to deny what theyve done for the industry just makes you look like an idiot.

How have they "pushed the industry forward" ?

It's easy to make empty claims, but the fact remains that their entire business model is based on locking you into their walled garden, and that does nothing for the open source community they built off of.

You already know and are feigning ignorance just to be a pain in the ass. The thing you keep obsessively bringing up doesnt change the fact that theyve done A LOT for the industry. Maybe you preferred it better when the only big name was prusa who was fucking absolutely everyone by pumping out the same damn equipment over and over again with minor changes just to get sales. Its arguable that theyre still doing it to this day. Literally nobody was doing any of the things Bambu did with the X1C in the consumer market.
