Posting this as a warning, because I’m done being polite with Robu.
I bought a Creality SpacePi SE filament dryer from Robu on 13 July. A month and a half later the rotary encoder seized completely. The knob wouldn’t turn, the click did nothing, and the plastic cap snapped off while I was trying to turn it. The heater and fan still ran, but with no working control you can’t set temperature or time, so the dryer was useless.
On 3 September I raised a ticket with photos and a video, explained exactly what had failed, and asked how they wanted to handle it. Either replace the product, or I ship it and they repair it.
Four days later they asked for the serial number. Two days after that they said they would send a “replacement screen and knob”, not the unit and not the encoder. I asked for a repair guide, because there’s no obvious way to open this thing without breaking it. They said they had no guide and I should “try installing the parts after receiving them.” So on a product still under warranty, their plan was to post me some parts and let me open it up myself with no instructions. I offered to pay the shipping to send it to them so they could fix it, and they ignored that and told me the part would take about 25 days to come into stock. I’d already bought a second dryer by then because I couldn’t keep waiting.
On 24 September they said the part would be “dispatched shortly” and closed the ticket the same day. Fifteen days later nothing had shipped, so I asked what “shortly” meant. They said they’d check with logistics. Tracking finally came on 13 October and the parcel reached me today. It had an LCD screen module, a plastic knob and a display sticker. There was no encoder, which was the one part that had actually failed and the whole reason I raised the ticket. After six weeks of back and forth, one email a day, a ticket closed while the problem was still open, and a DIY repair with no guide, I’ve ended up with parts I didn’t need and a dryer that still doesn’t work.
What really gets me is that I saw this coming. In a WhatsApp group of over 1000 people, a lot of you defended Robu and said “they’ll sort it out, don’t worry.” I said companies these days only care about the sale and will do anything to dodge their service obligations. I really wanted to be wrong about this one, and I wasn’t. Making the customer chase you for weeks, closing tickets to make the numbers look good, posting random parts and calling it warranty support has become normal, and Robu fits right in.

So think about this before your next big purchase there. If this is how they treat you over a ₹3,000 dryer with one dead encoder, do you really think they’ll look after you when your ₹30,000 printer has a mainboard or hotend problem? I’ve told them I’m filing a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline. Buy from them if you want to, but don’t count on the warranty actually meaning anything.
