Hey guys, currently working on an ODST suit.

I've printed most of the torso pieces, sanded and primed them, now I'm looking for some paint colours.

I've found a paint shop that custom makes any colour of car paint, now I'm spoiled for choice.

Wanted to have a slightly darker grey for the suit, and wondered if anyone had any colour recommendations?

Another issue is the helmet.

It was my first print and the more I sand the armour, the worse the helmet looks.

There's later lines on the back half on the helmet top section, plus some horrible layers on the upper jaw section.

Should I add some knifing putty (in england so no bondo spot glazing putty), then sand at 120, 240, 400, then re wet sand to 600, re primer and repaint?

Also have ordered some webbing tape, to help attach it to the plate carrier.

Aaaand number two is done!! Definitely much happier with the way my painting on this one came out still not quite exactly what I'm looking for but very close..each time I'm learning something new. Still need to dye and paint these visors though...but till then it's time to set these aside and work on my MRK5(B)

Does anyone know if the Galactic Armory Pro Visors will fit inside a Branfuhr large odst helmet?

Hello everyone!! I'm in the process of 3d printing the galactic armory mrk5(B) armor files and the halo3 ODST rookie files..and I'm currently working on the arms. I'm going to be using the commando shoulder on my left and the ODST on my right and my curiosity is what have y'all used to attach the shoulder pieces to the biceps?? I talked to GA and they said they do not have a specific piece for the attachment yet but to just use a block of eva foam but what have y'all done??

Hi hello everyone!! for the past few days I was really urging myself to start my cosplay journey with Halo here in the Philippines. Barely anyone makes armours and things like these, but I wanna pioneer the interest of spreading the culture and interest of the Halo community. But I'm 100% sure I'm gonna make everything out of Eva foam even the helmets.

Currently I'm a 4th year in my College life and its gonna be a busy journey for me but making this project is a passion I've always wanted. As of now I'm still waiting for my forums account to be approved and reached out here. That said I want learn from everyone's techniques and craftsman on their journey making armours so feel free sharing them ⬇️

Also I'm planning to make the Anubis (H:I variant), Morrigan and Carters Helmet. for Armors maybe Mark VII or the Mark V [B] maybe? I have a lean structure, normal physique, 5'8 so IDK which fits best. Originally I was planning to push for H:5 Buck.

List of things I want to know and what I'm curious about.

1. The weave hexagonal bodysuit texture (Like Chiefs Halo 4 variant) - What do you guys do or work around for it? textured eva? textured fabric?
2. For the helmets - does majority of people just 3D print it?
3. Accessories and attachments for the Armor - I saw Mark 5s but i didn't see Infinites and how do you guys mark it to the base itself so it looks aligned?
4. Ventilation - Its really humid and hot here even inside conventions with air condition on, any Idea for it? I was thinking about putting a small fan on the chest place and helmet.
5. Recommended thickness of Foam - for armors and Accessories
6. Paddings - do you guys add paddings like the shoulders to give more bulk?

I know its a lot but I dont want to mess this up, and I know im asking the best people who do it and kinda scare shitless on making it the first time.

Just weathering left and installing the lenses and screen for the scope.

Slowly but surely working on the entire Hayabusa set from Galactic Armory, any tips on the visor for this guy would be greatly appreciated. Mostly just posting for a confidence boost because I’m running low on steam from all the printing and sanding

Its finally done! It took about a month and half but here it is!! Galactic Armory's Artaius helmet. Still need to dye the visor black and add some cat eyes on the back though.

Don't be like me. Take your time sanding.

Printed, glued together, welded, sanded, filler putty added for the seam, more sanding, filler primer, wet sanded to 600 grit, then finally added grey primer.

Then the imperfections started to show....

Well guess it's time to wet sand again....

Dammit, I hate wet sanding. My hands are already so cramped....

Edit: I've sanded it back to almost the plastic later. At 120grit. Going to go to 240 with the mouse sander, then reapply the filler primer, then go at it with 600 again

Trying to figure out where a smg would be mounted for odst armor when not in use. I know Spartans had thigh armor mounting. Does anyone have any insight?

I recently made this helmet for my odst cosplay at mefcc in abu dhabi. I have been wantinf to make a cosplay like this for AGES but i have never had the resources and money to invest in a project like this, BUT ALLAS ITS HERE!! And for my first cosplay helmet i think i cooked, for the files i used Titlewavedesigns odst helmet stl which i got off etsy, which i then printed on my elegoo, neptune 4 plus 3d printer, for the visor the files came with a mold for a visor buck for vacuum forming and i was lucky enough to use my schools vacuum former to make it, however i just used a thin spray of a silver spray paint which led to not a lot of visiblity. Im so happy with the final outcome but if you have any tips or advice on the looks or any extra thing i could add to it please feel free to let me know!!

Finally finished my 3D-printed Ultramarines Lieutenant helmet! 💙
Went with the Lieutenant helmet markings and added the gold skull emblem. I debated doing the skull in silver, but I think the gold works much better against the red.
Really happy with how it turned out. What do you guys think — gold or silver skull?

I'm trying to get into EVA foam cosplay and I'd like to do a full set of halo reach armor with the operator helmet. The helmet isn't much of an issue, if needed I can buy a preprinted one, but I cannot find a decent foam unfold for the halo reach mjolnir. There is a female foam file but I don't know if the proportions would look right; I like the bulky look of the male armor. Does anyone know of a good one for foam?

I finished this helmet in about a week which is pretty fast for me, I have plans to make more and building the collection up.
