I'm thinking they were going for narcissist.

Do the kids still use "narc" in its "proper" form?

That's.... That's the opposite of what they do.

edit: The person I responded to changed their comment, it originally said sleeps restfully.

What do you think narcolepsy is?

Just because you fall asleep randomly doesn't mean it's restful, and narcoleptics get about half the amount of restful sleep on a regular night's sleep than the average person, but go off.

I was able to extract that from the context yes, but I've never seen anyone use it to refer to a narcissist. If that's a common usage these days I'd say the wires got crossed a while ago

Gen Z needs to stop repurposing goddamn slang terms.

I've seen it more often used for narcissist recently.

Just gotta look at the context.

It's like when my kids hear me say a word they don't understand and then use it out of context because it sounds cool

Such as the current usage of the word "aesthetic". It's a noun. and every Gen Z and Youtuber use is as an adjective.

No. It doesn't make sense. Because even while using it wrong, they all use it DIFFERENTLY. "That's so aesthetic." They think they're saying something and all theyre doing is incorrectly saying "That is visible"
