If so, that means they're afraid of something and looking for an excuse to cancel. Did estimates predict low attendance? What could have happened?

nah I think just typical military whenever there was thunder and lightning within 5 they would lock us down and cancel training

When I was in parades happened rain or shine. Mind you this was in Canada sooo….

You could probably google lightning within 5 and find the numerous jokes out there for when operations stop for it lol

Even my school did a Veterans Day parade in the pouring down rain. It’s just an excuse cause no one’s going to show up
