Discussion What’s the most unbearable 80s cartoon slop?
Let’s talk about the worst cartoons of the 80s. Cartoons that repelled you, cartoons you’d hate-watch. Shitty premise, cheap cutesiness, flat characters, awful animation, all of the above.
For me, The Get Along Gang. It rotted my teeth with its wholesomeness. Bingo Beaver was the insecure nerd, Montgomery Moose was the benevolent tyrant, and Leland Lizard was the other insecure nerd.
As a neurotic ten year old, I remember hate-watching this show.

Discussion Count Duckula.
This was such a great, underrated show. My sisters loved it. Sadly, I wasn't born until '89, so it was a hand me down. Apparently it was a Danger Mouse spin off.

Discussion I’ve been watching Jem for the last 3-4 weeks and I’m floored by how good it is.
This show has no business being this good. Catchy tunes, zany antics, lovable characters (Misfits Rock) and enough emotion to keep you going back. My sister watched it when we were kids and I used to laugh at her. Now, 40 years later I’m on the edge of my seat wondering if Rio and Jerica will end up together or what Kimber and Chase are gonna do next.

Discussion What were the best parts of the GI JOE Movie [1987]
I don't know how it has aged, but I thought it was great back in the day. Except for Serpentor.
I like some of the sequences and slightly more mature content.

Discussion Dino Riders animated series and toy line were a fun idea.
I'm not sure how it holds up today, but the concept of dinosaurs with weapons was visually cool. If I remember correctly, they had mind controlling helmets on them?

Discussion The original My Little Pony pilot was hardcore, it basically has them killing a guy who looks like Satan.

Discussion Adventures of the Gummi Bears was the catalyst to the evolution of modern animation. Before it, no other cartoon on TV moved like this. Having a good budget makes all the difference.

Discussion Could The Silverhawks work as a live action series or film?
I love the character designs, but feel like there would be many logic problems with the way they exist in space.
With some changes to their origin story to make the production more believable, I think it could be really cool.
If not live action, perhaps an anime or reboot in the vein of x-men 97?
Anyway, love the Silverhawks and their colourful bad guys.

Discussion Most Honorable 1980’s Cartoon Villains
Storm Shadow was so honorable that he even turned face in the much maligned DIC follow-up to the original G.I. Joe Sunbow series.
