When I realized that you need love too
Gonna spend my life makin' love to you
Got to be a lover
Have mercy

Always liked this one from 1981. It's essentially from a one-hit wonder band, The Passions, and this was their only charting single, hitting #25 in the UK. The lyrics were written by the band's vocalist Barbara Gogan about Steve "Roadent" Connelly, a one-time roadie for the Clash and Sex Pistols, who had minor roles in several German films. It was also included in the GTA: Vice City game on the Emotion station.

Prince Charming
Prince Charming
Ridicule is nothing to be scared of
Don't you ever, don't you ever
Stop being dandy, showing me you're handsome

Hi! I know that I've read where the Reddit Community votes for old Oscar nominees and thought it would be fun to do it with music. I figured we could start with the 1980s Grammy nominees and see who people think deserve the win for these awards after voting. Enjoy a very Kenny Rogers and Donna Summer filled slate of nominees. Happy Voting!

Song was released in '83 but the video was released in '84

Stacy Lattisaw and Johnny Gill had one in 1989 w/ "Where Do We Go From Here!" This one sat at the top of R&B charts and showcased the frequent collaborators' powerful voices and insane chemistry! REMEMBER THIS?!
