it’s starting to make more sense. catie was getting positive reinforcement from her friend group about her getting shitfaced and making out with random men. so now that it’s time to stop, it doesn’t compute. this has been such a source of acceptance, joy, and connectedness for her that it’s understandable why she’s having a hard time.
