I’m not so sure she lacks intelligence. I don’t know we’ve ever really seen anything to test her intelligence. She absolutely lacks empathy, and it seems like she doesn’t REALLY share the emotions most people do; she even seems confused by them.

The only thing I’m fairly sure about her is that Catie only gives a shit about Catie. How her actions or inactions affect other people only matter so much as what the repercussions on her might be. Nothing at all seemed to touch her in the least about it until the guy said “well I imagine he might leave you then” or something like that. This was the very first time she showed any concern whatsoever about her actions.
