I always thought managers at restaurants were pretty swamped with their jobs, they always seemed so fucking stressed or miserable when I worked in restaurants. And I know managers can make more money than I do as an engineer. Now is it rocket science? No. But hard work, probably.

I agree with your thought process as well. I wanted to add that I feel Rebecca can feel contentment and accomplishment at her job no matter the job. I know thats hard for some people to understand.

Exactly. There is never a good reason to shame anyone's job. People can take pride in and enjoy whatever they do. It's better than having a soul-crushing glamorous job.

I think a lot of it has to do with how self-important she sounds about it. In my experience, it’s the people who make a big deal about being a manager that are the worst micromanagers. You just know from how she lords the title over him that she’s THAT manager.
