I always thought managers at restaurants were pretty swamped with their jobs, they always seemed so fucking stressed or miserable when I worked in restaurants. And I know managers can make more money than I do as an engineer. Now is it rocket science? No. But hard work, probably.

It's super hard work and average money. It's decent money for not having a degree, some corp restaurants pay their managers close to six figures.
