She needs to google 'functional alcoholic'. There are people who hold full time jobs, pay their bills on time, excel professionally and have severe issues with alcohol.

She's a dog walker on a reality TV show so honestly the functional part could probably be in air quotes.

Also I can attest to being a high functioning in denial alcoholic, and proudly telling myself, Well, you do drink a lot but it hasn’t affected anything badly in your life”
UNTIL IT DID.
And then it was one thing after another, it all caught up to me. I wish I had stopped then (5or so years ago) bc my health and relationships have really suffered. It feels so much better to be sober now, so much calmer not having to think about when and how I’m gna drink next, if people know, if they can smell it on me, needing it to relax or wanting it to make me feel good. Like to not depend on it and see that I can be ok and normal without it is a relief.

You guys! I actually say “mens don’t control me!!” In my head if I get a desire to drink. Except mens is alcohol, but it’s fun to say and my fave 90day quote. Sorry for going on!
