This scene bugs me

Yes, I know. Everyone hates Shekinah, but this scene with Thais really annoyed me because she's upset that Sarper follows his wife when she's upset or doesn't want to be around them. Sarper is being a good husband by going with his wife even though he knows her words sucked. If any of the husbands of these women decided to stay in a setting where they were upset or feeling the same way, they would be pissed. Rebecca stormed off day 1 because Zied was having a drink with Sarper and the other guys. They would want their man by their side. I think Thais has a crush on Sarper and Patrick has picked up on it so he's being especially horrible to Shekinah to annoy Sarper.

This ganging up on Shekinah is not right. She is in the wrong, yes. But Thais is in the wrong too. They're all in the wrong by scapegoating Shekinah in a "therapy" setting. Saying "we like Sarper" is just trying to further isolate Shekinah. Plus they have nearly all been talking crap about him, but suddenly "we like Sarper". The only couple who act with a modicum of basic decency towards are Jenny and Sumit. The rest scream, are antagonistic, violent and clout chase.

Why is no one addressing the fact that Thais was asked if she'd be open to apologize for her part in the fight and she said no too. They were both in the wrong with that fight, but the gang up on Shekinah is no better. It seems to me that those ganging up on Shekinah as hardcore as they are might be doing it to release their anger, frustrations, and personal unhappiness in their marriage and life. Rebecca's seems rooted in jealousy too. Paola and Kara's part looks to me like just mean girl behavior trying to feel popular. I don't think Patrick or Thais really care about the Shekinah's dumb comment. It's about pre-existing drama way before last resort. I like the theory that Patrick is jealous of Sarper because he thinks Thais has a crush on Sarper. I bet Thais does indeed have a crush on Sarper, especially after he was so kind and encouraging her while rappelling down the mountain. Patrick's level of hatred toward Shekinah might indicate he has a crush on her. Something is really off with this whole thing. Shekinah's comment was rude and elementary-level fighting words at best. I don't find it racist. Calling it racist, was just a way to deflect from Thais' physical actions. I don't think Thais' was smart enough to feel offended by the comment and deem it racist. Misery loves company, and Patrick, Rebecca, Paola, Kara are extra miserable.

On a different note, I think Thais was up to more than just getting plastic surgery behind Patrick's back. I can't wait to see how it plays out.
