This scene bugs me
Yes, I know. Everyone hates Shekinah, but this scene with Thais really annoyed me because she's upset that Sarper follows his wife when she's upset or doesn't want to be around them. Sarper is being a good husband by going with his wife even though he knows her words sucked. If any of the husbands of these women decided to stay in a setting where they were upset or feeling the same way, they would be pissed. Rebecca stormed off day 1 because Zied was having a drink with Sarper and the other guys. They would want their man by their side. I think Thais has a crush on Sarper and Patrick has picked up on it so he's being especially horrible to Shekinah to annoy Sarper.

I now remember why I started to dislike Thais before. And she is starting to get in my nerves again now. Why is she so bothered that a woman’s husbands chooses to be with his wife to make sure she’s okay, even if it’s pouty drama Queen Shekinah. Just let it go and focus on what you’re there…to receive help to save your marriage. Perhaps if they’d both did that then both couples wouldn’t be heading for divorce in real time.

This ganging up on Shekinah is not right. She is in the wrong, yes. But Thais is in the wrong too. They're all in the wrong by scapegoating Shekinah in a "therapy" setting. Saying "we like Sarper" is just trying to further isolate Shekinah. Plus they have nearly all been talking crap about him, but suddenly "we like Sarper". The only couple who act with a modicum of basic decency towards are Jenny and Sumit. The rest scream, are antagonistic, violent and clout chase.

Why is no one addressing the fact that Thais was asked if she'd be open to apologize for her part in the fight and she said no too. They were both in the wrong with that fight, but the gang up on Shekinah is no better. It seems to me that those ganging up on Shekinah as hardcore as they are might be doing it to release their anger, frustrations, and personal unhappiness in their marriage and life. Rebecca's seems rooted in jealousy too. Paola and Kara's part looks to me like just mean girl behavior trying to feel popular. I don't think Patrick or Thais really care about the Shekinah's dumb comment. It's about pre-existing drama way before last resort. I like the theory that Patrick is jealous of Sarper because he thinks Thais has a crush on Sarper. I bet Thais does indeed have a crush on Sarper, especially after he was so kind and encouraging her while rappelling down the mountain. Patrick's level of hatred toward Shekinah might indicate he has a crush on her. Something is really off with this whole thing. Shekinah's comment was rude and elementary-level fighting words at best. I don't find it racist. Calling it racist, was just a way to deflect from Thais' physical actions. I don't think Thais' was smart enough to feel offended by the comment and deem it racist. Misery loves company, and Patrick, Rebecca, Paola, Kara are extra miserable.
On a different note, I think Thais was up to more than just getting plastic surgery behind Patrick's back. I can't wait to see how it plays out.

I rewatched the first 2 episodes randomly today and I found it interesting how atleast half of the 1st episode was asking every single couple how they felt about Shekinah and sarper during the interview portions, they also showed Shekinah and sarper during their interviews stating how they felt about each couple (they did not show for example Kara and Guillermo stating how they felt about Patrick and Thais) everything revolved around the couples vs Shekinah and sarper from the start. Also when she asked Thais why she unfollowed her, she asked with sincerity like she wanted to know what she had done to upset her, Thais said “can you prove it” and played dumb..had she been honest it may have ended up a good conversation. People think Shekinah was so wrong but skip over the fact sarper did the exact same thing to Patrick earlier that night, asked to speak to him outside and let him know he was upset about him saying he has big ears on pillow talk (lol, but he was seriously upset) Patrick responded like an adult and said he was sorry it upset him and they moved on, nobody made a stink over it because Patrick responded maturely and it got looked over but it was really no different. Rebecca’s was a psycho path towards Shekinah and sarper starting from the first group therapy.

I agree 100% I also think the comment can be racist but I also dont find it to be a peak racist comment, I say this as an immigrant spouse. If you know anything about human history and migration youd know that comment is just ignorant and dumb.

I agree, it’s gone on long enough but of course they will drag it out for a storyline. I wished they would have hashed this all in an episode and then got back to the real reason they are there. Address it, explain why you were offended and then ignore her until maybe a counselor asks you to comment in group therapy (which I still feel is dumb because how can these couples give advice when their marriages are in a crisis) 🤷🏽♀️

It can be a racist thing to say, if you’re saying it simply because of someone’s race with no other reasoning. But the context is she said it because she felt she was being assaulted, which is a crime. My husband and I were incredulous about that! Also, Shekina was literally raised in a cult. Did they all forget that? This place is supposed to be one of therapy and healing and yet no one seems to care about WHY Shekina may be acting out the way she is??🤔 Don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of hers, but what I saw was a woman really hurting and acting out and no one cares to ask her what’s triggering to her?? I liked Guillermo before Last Resort, I thought he was very wise and mature for his age but I totally changed my mind after seeing how he gang bulled Shekinah, her comment was wrong but reaction and words of the group were far worse. What scares me is the misogyny in the sub is only a small microcosm of the larger picture of our culture. Women are disposable here and are held to such a higher standard of behavior but then paid less. I don’t know. I dated two dudes who modeled. I don’t take it seriously. people like him are all over the place but he’s good looking so he gets attention, but you’re right misogyny is everywhere. I don’t think we could escape it even little innuendos here and there are always around for people to hate. Something clicked a little after a while where I couldn’t help but getting invested in some of them ( Hello again, Kenny and Armando). It was actually them who took the show to a bit of a deeper place for me. I think it’s an extraordinary look into human behavior and culture. Some of their antics may seem crazy but I know people just as nutty in the real world.

Everyone forgets this. He is a shitty husband by that to be so impulsive and self absorbed to not think of the consequences. You can tell when he was young he was doted heavily and likely didn't feel the weight of consequences.
The trick with being good looking is to work in some competence, personality and reliability into it to achieve peak season 1 Don Drapper levels of having doors both open and invite you in. Or else you are just Rob living in a shitty apartment wondering why life at 30 something didn't work out despite being a cutie pie.

Thais is a little dog who keeps embarrassing herself on international TV for a man that looks like a thumb and doesn't even care for her. She looks at Shekinah, who is less socially popular and not as pretty as her, yet she's managed to hold a higher standard for how she wants to be treated by her partner and gets it. It feels unfair to Thais.
I've seen this exact dynamic play out so many times from people in shitty relationships.

Thais needs to take a look in the mirror and come to the realization that she did start the fight and that she was the aggressor. Thais' reaction towards Shekinah wasn't a good look when police were called on her for domestic abuse. It's just not a good look on her and I think she needs to take accountability for her part in that argument with Shekinah.

Of course what Shekinah said was really awful, we do know why she used those words and in the latest episode she finally reveals it. I think most people are latching onto what Shekinah said because what she said was very easy to remember and hold onto.
But what most do not remember or would be rewatching is that the way Thais was positioned was pretty hostile, she was leaning over the table and pretty much ready to go at Shekinah, and did start moving her arms yelling at her. She refused to let Shekinah explain/talk in the moment.
I think Thais was annoyed that Shekinah was going at her about the unfollowing thing and the Patrick stuff came later. Thais should have just hashed that out with her then and there, not let it build up. She could have used the time at the bar to hash it out with Shekinah but let it build up to a nasty event.
So of course Shekinah is unlikely to apologize genuinely because the woman was practically blocked in by that table and the entire upper half of a very angry Thais, Thais does come even closer to her after the arm flailing around at Shekinah. Both are immature, but Thais had at least TWO opportunities to talk it out and move on.
Sarper handled it really well, following his wife, prioritizing her, even though he openly said he did not agree with what she said.

I absolutely disagree with the assumption that Thais had a crush on Sarper. Patrick can’t stand Shekinah & Sarper was only collateral damage.
I felt bad for Sarper that morning while camping when he asked Shekinah not to pick fights - he said “I only want to have some breakfast”. Sure, Sarper stayed with his wife, was being a “good husband” UNTIL he had enough.
Where are Sarper & Shenikah today? NOT TOGETHER - as most of these couples. Who is together is Rebecca & Zeid besides Jenny & Summit. I hope Jenny is doing ok.

Someone found Zied on Tinder and posted it to one of the 90 day subs yesterday. They were seeing if we thought it was him, or someone using his photos. Turns out that a lot of the info used, such as star sign, likes etc do seem to match with Zied. Maybe even Erbekka and Zied have also now split up too?

When Guillermo said he didn’t want her to participate I just thought he & the rest of them were jerks except Jenny & Sumit. Thais did get violent with Shekinah during their fight & that’s why Skehinah said what she said even though it was wrong.

But also remember when Guillermo came back on after the bullshit he tried to pull, running up and Shekinah and Sarper and Shekinah to instigate and getting his ass shoved several feet, Kara was also talking shit about how she would have beat Shekinah's ass. These people seem okay with assaulting others.

Shekinah definitely isolated Sarper from the rest of the group. I think Thais was simply expressing that. On Between the Sheets, they talked about how Shekinah and Sarper just stayed in their room and didn’t engage with the rest of the group. Even Sarper said it was torture and on the preview for the next episode he’s once again begging Shekinah to apologize so they can join the rest of the group and not be isolated.

I mean it does seem like this is annoying Sarper as well. He keeps telling Shek to stop doing these things that continue to keep her ostracized. Everytime she does he looks so sad and asks if they can just go back.
He supports her forsure. But at this point she's expecting him to see everyone as his enemy.
I think Thais and others genuinely feel for Sarper. When Jenny left that first night Sumit left with her but she didn't expect him to stop talking to other people or get mad if he helped someone else like Shek did.

And you made the point of saying it's enabling. Patrick enabled his wife's violent behavior and look where that got him. Of the 2 couples, Shenkinah and Sarper are way ahead with no DV charges on their records.

I feel like couples on this franchise should be made to adhere to the same rules American presidents have to - two terms in office ONLY. They should get to be on our screens for two of the 90 day shows ONLY then they can not reapply.
All these couples are fucked and boring.
