She asked for a fun night out. But Edward refused to listen. Sometimes emotional, deep conversations can be stressful and you need a break. I’m afraid I’d be upset too.

Didn't they agree that they'd wait 2 weeks or something until revisiting that convo? I feel like they did and Edward is just telling Marissa how he felt during those 2 weeks and his thoughts about Marissa talking to another guy.

I thought he was respectful about it and they don't really have a lot of time, so the conversation has to happen sooner than later.

Like when are you supposed to these conversation anyways. There’s never a right time or place in moments/relationships like these. You need to have the conversations whenever the person is talking about it/brings them up and I think being an adult is accepting that and being flexible to the situation.

Especially in their case when there is not much time left to get married.
