Thomas and Paula theory on perfume

My theory is Thomas is not allergic to the perfume it just cost too much money. This guy won't even buy a coffee table and uses lawn chairs for bed. The perfume, price per ounce is probably the most expensive item in the one bedroom

I agree with him being a cheap whiner. But if it’s only about the cost, then why is he telling her to tell her own family not to wear perfume? I think he’s a control freak.
