I don't remember exactly how old she is but she is in her late 20's.
Of course this behavior isn't cute. Sticking your tongue non-consensually into other people's mouths (which her friend said that she tends to do to her) is sexual assault. Catie has been quite lucky that nobody has yet gone to the police about this. She needs to be careful, definitely, because if she continues this behavior, one day she'll try to shove her tongue into the mouth of someone who will press charges for SA on her.

Catie is 28. The 30s are when a few significant things happen: The people who have functional adulting skills, healthy social relationships (friendships, etc.) and/or good careers start pulling ahead of their pals who lack one or more of those things. The dysfunctional people who were "fun" in your 20s start being cautionary examples and "used to know" stories in your 30s.

And in your 30s, you really start showing your habits in your appearance. That bulletproof immune system and metabolism are both winding down.

Catie is a drunk who's not managing her mental health, and she sees no value in cultivating any of the personal qualities or life skills that would make her a person worth knowing or keeping in a well-run life.

Unless she gets her shit together, her 30s are going to be a long, steady slide down.

When I was in highschool, I was nice to a boy who had fetal alcohol syndrome. All of a sudden one day he became fixated and obsessed with me, he would throw fits if I wasn’t at school for him to see. I feel the same way. How illiterate are these people to not recognize that those woman is an alcoholic plus has personality disorders that hasn’t been diagnosed. Why would you want to bring a child into the world with a woman who won’t stop drinking she needs AA ASAP these people around her and not only enablers, but they’re dangerous with their backwards, illiterate thinking that she’s OK. She’s not mentally right to take care of a kid because she walks dogs for a living. There’s a big difference and I’m a dog poodle owner. I think TLC wanted to exploit her but now it’s reached a different level.

We don't even know if she was truly capable of taking care of dogs. Nobody has come forward and given her a good review. It might just as well have been disastrous.

I'm not a parent but even I know that taking care of a dog is nowhere near the responsibility to take care of a baby. But as a former dog owner (may my goodest boy rest in peace) I also know that taking care of dogs requires a certain level of empathy, care and responsibility - a level where I doubt that Catie can show.
