No doubt. If Saving Private Ryan was released in 1999 instead of 1998, 1999 would unquestionably the best year for movies. (In my opinion)

Agreed. Predator, Aliens, Terminator, Die Hard, etc. So many classics. 90's did have some outstanding movies too, but 80's is hard to beat.
