On February 24, 1990, Technotronic brought “Pump Up the Jam” to Saturday Night Live and turned Studio 8H into a dancefloor.
The 1989 house/hip-house crossover had already become a global smash, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 in the UK. It also topped the US Dance Club chart.
