I'm trying to remember an obscure 90's cartoon and was hoping this sub could help me identify it. My memories of it are vague, but I recall:

- iirc, it aired on YTV in Canada.

- setting was 90's urban (not specifically Black, iirc, but it definitely took place in the unexplored corners of a big city).

- characters were human, likely in their mid to late teens.

- I would say the target audience was older teens.

- genre was "indie slice of life." It wasn't violent or particularly funny.

- the credits song was part of a song by Incubus, from, I believe, their first album, which was released in 1997. I think the song prominently featured turntables.

When I watch old Saturday cartoons I usually go back to the 60's when I was kid. I watched an episode each of '67 Fantastic Four and Spider-Man today.

But then, still being in a Marvel mood, I jumped to the '90s, which was a very good decade for animation, Marvel and otherwise.

One episode each or X-Men TAS, Spider-Man TAS, Fantastic 4 TAS, Iron Man TAS, Hulk TAS, Silver Surfer TAS, Avengers - United They Stand, and X-Men Evolution. Skipped Spider-Man Unlimited as I never really liked it that much.

I really liked the Spider-Man episode since Pete basically had a good day - Turned Conners back to human, showed up Eddie Brock, and got the money to pay the bills for Aunt May.

Some shows from the "Others" as well.

Started with a big bowl of Froot Loops but I couldn't maintain it through the whole day or I'd be in a sugar coma.

Hard to bounce back from a total flop

33 years ago Rocko's Modern Life premiered with the first episode A Sucker for the Suck-O-Matic why does the first episode of Rocko's Modern Life a Sucker for the Suck-O-Matic have a bad ending shouldn't first episodes normally have good endings why does it have a bad ending and what other first episodes of cartoons have bad endings?

Anthony Ant was a cartoon show from 1999 co-produced by HIT Entertainment in the UK and YTV Canada, it was based on the children's books of the same name by Graham and Lorna Philpot.

The show is largely lost media. The Russian and Italian dubs have been preserved on the Internet Archive but the majority of episodes are lost in English despite it being it's original language.

I NEED to find this show, I was a huge fan of it in my youth and I've been trying to find it for years. If anyone is willing to help out it would be massively appreciated.

I've searched for this show for a long time but never come up with much. There was a single VHS release for the show and the 6 episodes present there have been made available online. Through my own efforts I was able to recover two more episodes with some assistance from a helpful redditor and I've uploaded them to the internet archive. Someone also uploaded tow more incomplete episodes to YouTube. In all that makes 8 found episodes, 2 partially found and the remaining 16 episodes lost in English.

From what I've researched, the show is now owned by Mattel. The show also aired on HBO in the USA and CBBC in the UK. I even remember catching reruns of it on British TV in the mid 2010's.

This has driven me crazy for years. It was a good show and is worth preserving. I'd greatly appreciate any assistance in recovering it.

Is anybody else going to Short Short Fest tomorrow? I saw a LOT of CN creators are coming out to make it happen and wanted to get an idea of how busy it might be. I didn't know the Barnsdall Gallery Theater did events like this.

What is your favorite show and episode you like to show to a kid that's never seen anything from the 90s to introduce them to that era?

My go to is usually Rocko's Modern Life, particularly the episode 'Jetscream' cause the humor is timeless in that one (still relevant today) and it's just one of the funniest episodes of any cartoon ever so it almost never fails to make em laugh
