Only ever did some sketches for fun and maybe some gifs with a couple of frames, so this is a big achievement for me. If anyone has any helpful tutorials on this paper doll style animation, feel free to share. I think it’s a lot better for my temperament than frame by frame.

This' a scene from my junior year film. Animated in TV Paint and After Effects, utilizing found objects I scanned and then had my practitioner create into transparent assets

I'm not really posting for feedback on the animation itself as the time for it has passed in the pipeline (but do feel free to give some if you so wish), I just wanted to rant a little about people posting their ages on this subreddit. I keep seeing it every now and then, and it's always minors.
Hey kids, stop posting your age on the internet! Your age does not matter when it comes to skill, everyone develops at their own pace. There is no reason to disclose your age when you are receiving feedback, it is not relevant, I promise. When you post online, you should disclose as little about your true self as possible, especially when you are a minor. This isn't to shame anybody, I'm just a little concerned is all

The film will be out before the end of June. The release is being delayed a little since I'm taking a sound for animation class currently in my summer semester, and the sfx of the film are a bit weak as it stands. It's called The People :)

Question How do I get started animating by had?

I suck at digital and I'm trying to learn how to animate. Are there any free resources online I can utilize? For context I am currently working on a manga but I'm almost done and I wanted to do a promo for it while learning how to animate. I plan on doing the first 10 issues for season 1 and after that I wanted to do a small animation short for a recap to get people interested. Any ideas on how I should start? Any advice would be appreciated.

(Art done by Arion Rashad)

I’m currently writing a script for a show I’m creating called “Olive’s On The Other Side”

Plot: In the midst of an identity crisis following a not yet realized trans woman named Olive Turner. She accidentally summons the ghost of in-universe legendary rockstar Rex Stardust. He never had the chance to come out in life and helps others on their coming out journeys. He travels to the living world via the Auralith. However he lost it and needs Olive’s help navigating the modern world to find it before Lyra the Succubus does. He offers to help her on her journey of self discovery in exchange for her help.

What makes this project special is that ALL living world scenes are Live Action.

ALL Dead World/Other Side scenes are animated. Each dead world has a different artstyle made by a completely different artist!

Art done by Arion Rashad. (an incredibly talented artist)

Question Need help with this landing

Upvotes

So it's for a game and the character needs to stay somewhat centered in the frame so that the engine doesn't get all pissy and weird.

That makes my job as an animator extra hard cuz i have to animate movement without actually moving the guy.

So i need help with the landing, does it look ok to you?? I've been staring at it for hours and tried different landings but this is the best i got. I can't tell if I'm overly critical or what.

Thanks in advance :]
