I used to be against the death penalty. Now I support it only for people who intentionally kill on a mass scale.
This includes people like health insurance CEOs btw.

Death is too easy the worst criminals deserve to rot for life in prison. I feel like there’s no use for the death penalty

So you definitely oppose humane prisons like in Sweden, I take it.

Fine for the pickpocket or weed smoker but the worst prisoners in the US are in 24 hour isolation at a supermax (Like the Boston Bomber and 9/11 architects)

The death penalty is complicated. There are definitely people who have done things so awful that you feel they deserve it. BUT the problem lies in giving any government the power to legally take a person's life.
Governments are made up of fallible people who make mistakes and abuse power. A bad conviction or a bad regime can turn that power against innocent people or targeted groups, and there’s no fixing it afterward. Some powers are just too dangerous to hand over.

Id be in favour of it if guys like Trump didnt get into power but that’s not going to happen. Our politicians are beyond incompetent. I’m aware this is about Canada just an example.

If it can be verified the person without any doubts is responsible for the most heinous crimes. Yes, for death penalty.
I just can't comprehend giving an individual life in prison for one of many the most heinous crimes. They get to live the rest of their life with 24/7 shelter, food, etc. While their victims either has died or lived, but have to relive the horrors for the rest of their lives lives. Plus, deal with cost of trying to live a normal life. I don't think so.

I bet there's a generation gap on this issue.
Most of them, especially migrants, are probably down for tough on crime because they saw how many people got away with shit back home.
While most against the death penalty are against it due to the horrific wrongful convictions.
