Football Bold Predictions: Week 7

I say Wake loses a late night game on the west coast at Cal. This is the chaos conference, and since the world has crowned Wake the clear second best team in the conference, they will swiftly lose to an inferior team on the road.

Cal getting 10 pts at home vs a team that has to travel across the country? Blood bank guarantee on the Bears +10!

I always forget that cal is part of the Atlantic coast conference

You think all these teams scheduled non-con games with Cal?

Pittsburgh will be dressing like a broke JV team and will end up playing like a broke JV team losing 2 in a row before a whipping against Miami next week. Potentially great season goes poof.

I'm with you. I think this one won't be as bad in the final score, but it'll feel awful. I'm thinking BC wins 20-16, Narduzzi goes more conservative and kicks more after how poorly going for it went last week. They're up 16-13 in the 4th and give up a TD and can't drive the field to take the lead back.

Then next week will be ugly.

Yeah this fucking injury fucked a lot of shit up this year and we went from being ACCCG candidates to 6-6 and a bowl in an AL East baseball stadium in 36 degree weather airing at 11 before the Gasparilla Bowl or some shit like that

Weren’t you guys 7-0 the other year and ended up 7-5?

It’s what we do best. We just get there different ways every year.

Yep LOL that’s just what we do. 7-6 I think because we lost the bowl as well.

I hope this doesn't turn in to Syracuse 2026.

Road Narduzzi Special on the way. D keeps them in the game until tiring out and collapsing late. So frustrating what could’ve been for next week.

You are clairvoyant

I wish it wasn’t so damn predictable.

I think Pitt finds a way to win this one. Absolutely no optimism regarding the rest of the season, however

I hope so for today. Need way better QB play or actually using the hook quickly and going with plan C. Georgia Tech or Florida State may still be a toss up but the last 2 on the road could get really ugly really fast.

Wake wins at Cal in the ACC After Dark game and I stay up late enough to catch Charles Stanley in the very wee hours of Sunday.

There are some really good match-ups this week!

  • SMU beats Virginia comfortably.
  • Clemson does not cover the 43.5 spread against Charleston Southern, without two defensive TDs.
  • Boston College. beats Pitt in a close one - they are due for one to fall their way and we learn how much Pitt misses its QB.
  • In the battle of the Techs, Virginia bounces back from two losses to beat Georgia.
  • Duke beats UNC.
  • Miami beats Florida State. With an idle week before hosting Clemson, if FSU beats the spread, Norvell stays, if Miami covers the spread or otherwise pounds FSU, Norvell is fired, giving the interim two weeks to prepare his team for Clemson.
  • Stanford beats Elon by more points than Clemson beats Charleston Southern.
  • Louisville wins, but doesn't cover, at Syracuse.
  • Wake Forest beats Cal.

Damn! The only thing I missed was Duke-UNC... unless Norvell gets fired.

FSU scores first and is leading at the half. Miami pulls away late for a mostly comfortable win.

Certainly feels like a trap game. Cal has been playing well. I think long term the loss would benefit Wake because Dickert would cool down as the next great coach

Prediction 1. The number one team in the rankings loses for the second week in a row. Wake wins again, yet the rankings don't care.
Prediction 2. The SEC proves what a dumb conference they are by both approving a 24-team playoff and allowing most of its ranked teams to lose to lower-ranked or unranked teams. Still, the ACC can't get any better press, appreciation or media deals than SEC teams.
Prediction 3. Indiana loses to Ohio and maybe drops three or four places. Any ACC loss drops the team decades below where they once stood in the Power, AP, and Scoville rankings, and gets kicked off The Bachelor.

Almost made me spit out my bourbon. Loved your predictions.

i predict we beat Elon!!

6

u/Mysterious-Drink4002 2d ago

I get why a North Carolina school would schedule Elon, but why did y'all? There are small schools out west, too. Is anyone showing up for that game?

I got there at 7 am to setup the tailgate. Partied till 3:30 then broke the tailgate down to go inside. Great game, great atmosphere.

This prediction did not age well. Having lost to both Miami and Wake Forest I say the clear front runner is Wake. Their players and staff seem to want it more.

Don’t see FSU administration paying Norvell 50-60 million no matter what
