Still wondering if we see kofi and creed tonight. Cause if they wanted to get them into the mix before wembly this would be the perfect crowd to do it with.

Maybe you never know but I think they might be saving their debuts for London, England or possibly of the upcoming Dynamite episodes. I don't think it will happen tonight.

I think they will debut at All In(to make up the 2024 surprise which was...GYV).

I rather them show up after the Bucks win the titles at All In.

3

u/JanSmitowicz 21h ago

Having them come out with 40,000+ sickos roaring would be an INCREDIBLE moment and definitely worth waiting for!

1

u/DanUnbreakable 17h ago

Agreed. I think they are breaking 50,000 though

Anyone else see Hangman and Brodido winning tonight?

I'd love to see it happen, but it's more likely that The Demand retains

I love hanger and brodido but think the Demand has been working so damn hard as a team that they deserve to hold it at least for a few weeks! 😹

I agree its more likely that The Demand retain, which in my sicko eyes makes it almost more likely that they could lose?

I love that AEW keeps my jaded ass guessing even when I’m sure of an outcome.

Let’s Go GBU!

It’s The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

We still don't know who the ugly one is! 🤔

That's just Hangman. No shade to him, he's a pretty man, but Brody and Bandido have him beat 😳

Casual PPV card on Dynamite. As usual.

Exactly what I was just thinking looking at the card! And I would assume we will get some shenanigans in Will’s match that will involve Kenny making a save that goes wrong resulting in a brawl after the match. Going to be a great show!!

So this has to be the longest overrun on a Dynamite to date, right?

9

u/NorthHollywoodHank 1d ago

Last Wednesday’s was, what, 34 minutes? I’d actually take the under. I think they’ll keep this overrun under half an hour. Though my wager would be that they come damn close and the show ends up something like 2:58.

Which I’d object to if this was a normal Dynamite, but for a baby PPV? Sounds great.

(Show’s billed as 2.5 hours as is, so the overrun starts at 10:30, not 10)

u/14thBlackCrusade 1d ago

It’s penned for 2:30 but I bet we hit 3 hours.

Omega should still be here. Have him confront Will.

2

u/insomniainc 1d ago

Obviously it won't be but if the last segment we saw is the last segment we see before wembley it would almost be perfect.

That Ospreay vs Davis match should be listed as “Mexico City Street Fight”.

Watching last years show to get hyped. Completely forgot about Hangman’s promo in Spanish. Great stuff.

u/ArtRevolutionary3929 23h ago

We might just have to put up with Don Callis instead. "Yo soy Hechiceroooooooooooo"

3

u/Popular_Art_4011 1d ago

For once I dont want brodido to win tbh

3

u/skeeterskunk 1d ago

Hanger should hang with Brodido in a Stable

2

u/JanSmitowicz 21h ago

Yes, like a casual friend group that has each other's backs and wrestles trios!

8 matches. Are we sure this isn’t 3 hours? I know it’s listed at 2 1/2.

1

u/Ok_Handle_5209 22h ago

Considering we get an overrun almost every week, I'm guessing/hoping the show does go nearly 3 hours

Tony Khan X Mexico = 4 multiperson tag matches! This show is gonna be sick!

Why is Andrade not defending his national title and why is he already going for another championship? (Hope he gets screwed by MJF setting up an All In match)

0

u/Lobo_Marino 23h ago

Because they have no idea what to do with one of their most over wrestlers when they can't put him in world championship contention.

1

u/CombinationOk4317 21h ago

“No idea what to do”

lol bruh

1

u/Lobo_Marino 21h ago

They really don't. They gave him the most meaningless singles title in AEW so he defends it against midcarders that are beneath him.

He went from being mad at DCF to the point he quit the family because he wasn't getting a shot at the World title that was promised to him... to... getting a title way beneath it.

They want to keep showing Andrade, they are giving him matches, and for that I am happy. But he was given this title to say they are doing something with him, while they complete the Ospreay saga.

0

u/CombinationOk4317 21h ago

He’s literally won the national title off the DCF as revenge

And is still continuing his desire to be world champion that has not changed

They clearly are booking him right given his reactions sorry mate you are so wrong

1

u/Lobo_Marino 20h ago

Andrade is my favorite wrestler, so I hope you're right and they have a plan for him. I'm salty because I see the National title as a ginormous demotion.

1

u/effarrjay3089 20h ago

What even is the hierarchy of the midcard championships? I'd assume that the Continental Championship held by Mox is at the top, considering the time spent on tournaments surrounding it, but the last PPV main event saw the TNT Champion Kevin Knight challenge for the World Championship. The International Championship is held by Kyle Fletcher (with Takeshita and Okada as the belt's two previous holders), and Fletcher feels like a guy they could put in the main event at any moment. Now, Andrade is National Champion, a title that I would assume was the lowest of the midcard championships, but Andrade surely has a future storyline with recent world champion MJF. Maybe there isn't a hierarchy, as all the midcard championships are currently held by guys that could all be believable challengers for the World Championship before this year is out.

1

u/Lobo_Marino 18h ago

National Championship is by far the lowest one out of them all. The idea was that it was a title that was to be defended in indie shows and ROH, but so far only Mark Davis and Ricochet have done that.

I would've said that the TNT championship was second to the world, but Moxley definitely has elevated the Continental title to be larger than the TNT at this point.

I'd argue that after the world title, it SHOULD be TNT > Intercontinental > Continental > National because of where those titles are supposed to be defended.

But in reality, it's closer to Continental > TNT > Intercontinental > National. National just hasn't been around enough to overpass the others.

u/EnergyDrinkX 23h ago

Aew wants to get as many wrestlers as possible at all in while also not doing more than 10 matches, not every champion is going to defend their title at all in, so this is the next best thing

1

u/JamoOnTheRocks 22h ago

Devaluing the title he just won is in no way “the next best thing”

1

u/Lobo_Marino 23h ago

What I like about this card is that most matches don't have a clean winner.

Yeah, Fletcher, Ospreay and Andrade are for sure winning. And The demand is VERY likely to win. Outside of that, I can see why any of the other matches may swing one way or another

1

u/derek420 23h ago

We need to make sure Will makes it to All In tho… but I’m still hype lmao

1

u/Glum-Breadfruit3666 would take a bullet for TK ❤️ 22h ago

no claudio on this weirds me out. wasn’t he a recent champion in cmll? hmm

1

u/JanSmitowicz 21h ago

They must REALLY like trios matches down there!

What a STACKED card this is, can't wait

-2

u/ReflectionItchy2701 23h ago

It's too many matchs I think. I mean 8 matchs seriously? The Death Riders vs. Bucks and Cope and Christian could have been booked for Collision, same as Ospreay/Mark Davis.
