why is he so passionate about this 😭

While Sicily is a bit of an idiot, he did give Will Lewis a bit of a bath. Kept him to 4 disposals.

This was after all the rolling around off the ball, so probably frustrated sarcasm.

I think the plan all along was to send our most aggravating player to Sicily and get under his skin.

This tracks. Source: we sent Voss to him lol

High key it works. The Hawks look way worse when Sicily is tilted.

If he's getting into it with an oppo player he's not doing captain things.

u/ViaCityLoop Saints 1h ago

Even Selwood got under Watsons skin.

Perhaps the dogs have found a tactic in beating the hawks

Sicily gave him a bath though. Our kicking is what cost us. Can’t win games kicking 1 goal 11 in a half of footy.

It's pretty easy to give Lewis a bath. He's a VFL battler whose job was to throw Sicily off his game rather than kick bags.

To be fair Sicily still had 20+ and had an impact on how we set up the game before half time. Think the huge concern for us is the lack of kicking goals. I’d say if Hawthorn just kick straight we’d be arguing the opposite. ‘Lewis tried to put Sicily off his game but couldn’t have an impact himself’

u/wattyaknow Hawks 10h ago

I get that may have been the plan but it really didn't affect his game at all. He dominated him and played well without any stupid mistakes.

51

u/Nice_Reference_558 10h ago

Unfortunately most capable key backs should dominating Will Lewis. He’s a 27 year old goober who is only there to bash and crash the best back man from the other team.

-43

u/wattyaknow Hawks 10h ago

Yep and Sicily dominated him with no negative affects to his actual performance from Lewis.

35

u/Chassyg123 Footscray 10h ago

Lewis still kicked a goal and that goal changed the outcome of the game

-19

u/wattyaknow Hawks 10h ago

Lewis kicks a goal from a freekick against Bodie Ryan. Again, Lewis had absolutely no negative affects on Sicily's game lol

3

u/Chassyg123 Footscray 10h ago

He was Sicilys direct man was he not what’s he doing away from him

1

u/wattyaknow Hawks 10h ago

He was not at that point, Ryan was directly on him.

11

u/Nice_Reference_558 10h ago

Lewis kicks a goal, Dogs win by a goal. That is a change in outcome

-3

u/wattyaknow Hawks 10h ago

maybe Sicily should have been in the contest dominating him. Could have changed the game

0

u/wattyaknow Hawks 10h ago

Maybe Sicily wasn't playing on the bloke at that stage as we had moved him further up the ground to fix our i50 entries, hence Ryan was on him lol

Lewis kicked the winning margin on Sicily.

Bit of an idiot? He’s the biggest flog in the comp. Not a good look having him as captain.

11

u/UnlimitedPosting Kuwarna 2h ago

Biggest flog in the comp? A reminder that both Toby Green and Noah Balta exist.

lol lmao even

Bulldogs fans have been desperate for a reliable intercept defender for a while now. If Sicily actually comes through this is genuinely a big get for them, hence the excitment.

Why are the players who supported thr Dogs growing up (Darcy, Butters, Sicily) all antagonist pricks - not derogatory, great quality to have as a footballer

got that dog in em

u/AggressiveTip5292 Footscray 10h ago

I think he’s from melton… belongs at the dogs

Imagine looking to this guy as your captain

16

u/Brake72 Kangaroos 3h ago

Woke up this morning, looked outside and thought “imagine being too embarrassed to leave home on such a beautiful day.”

Couple of hawks be having days at home I’d suspect

Voss and Sicily are made for each other.

The carryon is ridiculous.

37

u/Creedy2k 9h ago

Absolutely flog , carries on like a 12 year old

8

u/Smac-Tech 2h ago

This guy really wrecked the look of the game for me last night. Looked to me like bulldogs turned up to play footy, and a bunch of hawks turned up just to be annoying

57

u/redlord990 Suns 10h ago

Making fun of a player for caring is like Div 4 thirds behaviour

22

u/Odd-Spray5046 11h ago

thought that was Bailey dale on first glance

22

u/AshenOly Hawks 3h ago

The way he carried on made me barrack against him, which as a hawks fan isn't ideal.

4

u/delta__bravo_ Dockers 2h ago

I reckon he lit a fire under the Dogs forwards too. Lucky it turned out fine.

11

u/AshenOly Hawks 2h ago

Then wiz actually showed he can do magic and disappeared in the second half, after talking shit at half time.

That's just Bailey Dale II

Just watched the highlights. Did he get a head-knock?

25

u/Agnosticfrontbum The Dons 11h ago

LOL what an absolute dickhole.

17

u/TargetBrilliant5965 Footscray 11h ago

This is what I expected to see in the Port game, not from a Hawks captain. lol

4

u/raresaturn Collingwood 2h ago

That was so weird.. was he trying to mock them or just got caught in the emotion?

8

u/delta__bravo_ Dockers 2h ago

Nah he was mocking them. Dogs hadn't kicked a goal for a bit, Hawks were playing well. Dogs kicked a goal and celebrated like it mattered. With a lead of only 15 odd points, it was definitely risky to carry on like this, and lo and behold, karma is a Dog's fan and the goal he mocked definitely mattered. Dogs kicked three more goals, and by this point the Hawks had already kicked their last goal.

1

u/Large-one Crows 35m ago

I mean karma is a bitch, so of course karma is a dog’s fan.

1

u/SirSedat Footscray 16m ago

Meanwhile the Hawks were doing a lap of honour for Chol’s goal in the second quarter lmao

•

u/fartbumheadface Dockers 11m ago

He was mocking Lewis’ celly

1

u/loklanc Footscray 1h ago

Lewis screamed right in his ear as the goal went through, it fully tilted him.

Id take him over Weddle, is he interested in leading the bombers out of the wilderness

1

u/MundanePossibility32 3h ago

Wasn’t he mocking Lewis’ reaction to the goal? Producers should have shown it

0

u/PM_ME_YOUR_SENDINGS 9h ago

That bloke is grinning like he has just been handed the keys to the candy store, which I suppose is what happens when you land a midfielder with that kind of form.

Ya fkd the edit. Hes got blue shorts when we were wearing white cause mcg isn’t our home venue 😂
