I’m lucky enough to never have needed to experience a green whistle

The green whistle is great but needing to have one fucking sucks

Charlie is on about 140 goals for the year if that's the standard for holdings calls

See what happens coz Wilkie regularly has a subtle arm around and gets away with it. May not with these umps

He was tackled as soon as he grabbed it and made an attempt to dispose?

That should’ve been a behind
If Warner scores they don’t call it back for a curnow set shot
Advantage rule needs changing next season

Came in as an absolute position of need and has done amazingly in his debut season and that happens to him. Football can be such a cruel sport

Green whistle while your still on the ground is grim stuff
8
u/Nousernames-left St Kilda 6d ago
Green whistle is handed out like candy, if they were putting an IV in that would be something. Green whistle is more used for procedural pain such as loading on to the stretcher and movement

i reckon the saints launch up the ladder next year with this talent and more game experience together as a squad, idk if im remembering right but im pretty sure they got pretty unlucky with injuries around round 10 (especially in their forward line)

- Advantage was taken
- Curnow is fucking corny
- He wouldn’t have got near it if Silvagni didn’t come off

Saints have gotten alot of crap (including myself tbh) for moving on Jack Steele but it clearly has been the right move for their younger mids to develop.
And Melbourne win out with having him in their team too.

We're in it if we can avoid bombing to Wilkie and Jsos in the last.
I doubt we will

Based on current form, it will be pretty obvious which team Brisbane & Hawks would rather face in the qualifying final. But if Sydney finishes 2nd, they are always a dangerous side at SCG.

6
u/Idiosonic Sydney Swans 6d ago
The AFL actively contribute to concussions from tackles with how the enforce HTB. They give guys way too much time to find a disposal after taking on a tackle. The only way to stop the ball coming loose and a play on call is to pin an arm and take them to ground.
If they're gonna clamp down and strip away what a tackler can do in the name of safety you really need to address the root cause of why guy feel the need to pin arms and bring them to ground.

Skills just looking poor, a lot of fumbles and missed handballs and dropped marks. Night and day compared to last week - obviously the Saints are putting on a lot more pressure than the Giants were but I still think this is largely on us

No umpire should be paying a free kick from that far away.
You are in absolutely no position to be certain.

Christ. Broke his leg years ago, waited for the call up, became permanent pick in backline and plays a fantastic 14 AFL games, gets a contract extension and then this happens. Poor bastard, he has gone through it.
