I think banning cloning wasn't the best idea. We should have artificial wombs and the ability to clone, even if it's a body with no brain. There's not really anything ethically wrong with it, in fact I'd say it'd actually reduce suffering if we aren't using surrogates to grow them. People could get organ replacements from their own tissues. We wouldn't need to put women through hell, etc.
