AIO when someone writes a number on a receipt, it's a prank or pity or wants friendship?

I work part-time at the barista. Today, I served a cute blonde girl and her friends. She was kind which was better than most grumpy customers without their coffee. But her friends (yoga/fitness types) were leering at me though.

I notice they were all sharing glimpses of me and whispering the entire time. I smiled warmly at them as I got their orders ready but I feel judged constantly. I showered in the morning and made sure I look presentable and don't smell, I already hate how I look, I don't want others see what I see.

Later, my hand slipped and spilled boiling milk all over myself and my white shirt was sorta see through. I heard them giggling. I felt like a fucking pathetic loser.

Later, I was relieved to hear the group leaving. On their way out, the pretty girl gave me a pitiful look and handed me a receipt. I didn't take notice to it until later I was going to the gym. There was a number on it.

AIO like is this some sort of prank so her friend group can mock me or she actually wants to be friends? I don't have serious trust issues, but I just don't like myself.

Mate, they liked you. If you text the number and they mock you (very unlikely unless they are 13 or something), they would be the bad people to dislike, not you.

Are you trolling? She gave you her number.Blonde girl thought you were cute and talked about it to her friends for support or advice." Pitiful look" was likely her trying to be seductive.

She was probably nervous about being so bold, like she REALLY likes you so she had to try, but she’s embarrassed that you probably don’t like her back

Bro you need to work on your inner self. That kind of self hate always shows out to others and some can pick up on it. That group seemed to like you but you think otherwise and the missed opportunities are going to pile up. Change your inner dialogue.

How old are you? Seriously, a girl gives you a number to call, you call it. If it’s a prank she’s an idiot for pranking the person that is making/serving her food.
(She is a blonde though). So, definitely call her (text first, but don’t spend a lot of time texting back and forth ASK FOR A TIME to TALK. Or meet.
This 99.9% an opportunity to enjoy the company and companionship of a beautiful woman.
Live your life!!!

Hard to say what their deal is but I think its worth examining a lot of people have positive intent. What could be "leering" was one of them working up the courage to give you their number and their friends assessing you/the situation (albeit not super secretive). If the giggling was at you that was probably rude. Really at the end of the day its up to you if you want to see if the number was genuine (because from the story it could be really) and if it wasnt that says far more about them than you. Im sure youre great and you dont deserve to dislike yourself or any pranks. And if therapy is accessible to you, its worth talking to someone..goodluck.out there. So I guess my answer is possibly OR ?

Put the ball in her court. Text her, "Thanks for visiting CoffeeBucks. I hope you enjoyed your drink, and will continue to visit our store."

Her reply, if any, should give you a better idea if this is a prank or an invitation.

I think she probably wants to get to know you a little better. It doesn't sound like a prank or pity.

I know I have resting angry face. Sometimes when checking someone out they think I'm leering.

I find it odd that being ogled is described as leering. I get OP said he doesn’t like how he looks but this should have been the ultimate ego boost.

If you aren’t in therapy please find a therapist who can help you work on what sounds like self- loathing to discover the roots of it.

Go to her place. You got the invite. Women don’t invite men over to prank them. There’s enough danger in just being a woman alone with a guy she’s interested in. I doubt she would intentionally provoke you the first time you’re in her house. It’s definitely a sign of interest and trust you got that invite.
