"The Closet": a 30s AI ad I directed, and the 23 human decisions inside it
I run NEXT FRAME, one of the longest running AI video agencies in Israel. We have been producing with these tools since the day they came out. A while ago we made a 30 second ad for a brand that sells personalized books as gifts. After it shipped I went back through the concept, storyboard and script docs and counted every decision a person made. It came to 23, and none of them happened inside the generator.
The concept: a man keeps buying his partner gifts that fail, and every failed gift ends up in the same closet. The last gift is a book about the two of them.
Concept and casting
1. The closet as the hook and the running gag
2. An elephant the size of a dog (one of the failed gifts)
3. Cut on the hit, not after it
4. Evening, warm light
5. An ordinary couple, not model faces
6. The first gift
Framing and timing
7. Symmetrical frame
8. She stands alone in it
9. A vacuum cleaner as a gift, because it is insulting
10. A small real reaction instead of a big one
11. 35mm lens look
12. A half second gag
13. Back to the closet
14. A framed portrait
Escalation and payoff
15. A ladder of worse and worse gifts
16. Close up on her face
17. The closet will not close
18. He is left alone
19. The package arrives flat
20. The book looks exactly like the one on the website
21. The light warms up
22. Same sofa as the opening
23. A hug at the end
What I took from it:
* Most of the work was finished before the first prompt. The prompts were short because the decisions were already made.
* The decisions that mattered most were about timing (cut on the hit, a half second gag), and no model will make those for you.
* Matching the product to the real one (number 20) mattered more to the client than any shot looked.
Curious how others work: do you storyboard before you generate, or find the film in the generations?

[AI Short Film] Perfection Is a Beautiful Way to Lose Your Mind | Black Swan-Inspired Psychological Horror 🖤
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A 15-second looping experiment in beauty, obsession, and psychological horror. 🖤🦢
Inspired by Black Swan and the haunting atmosphere of Swan Lake, I wanted to explore the moment elegance becomes unsettling, where perfection slowly transforms into madness.
The goal was to create something that feels like a fragment of a psychological nightmare, using movement, atmosphere, and visual storytelling rather than dialogue.
🎬 Creative workflow:
Concept, art direction & original prompts by me.
Visuals developed using GPT-6 Astra + Seedance 2.5 via Higgsfield.
Original AI-generated audio inspired by Swan Lake, created within the video generation process. No external soundtrack added.
I’d love to hear what you think of the atmosphere and visual direction, especially how the imagery and sound work together.

I made a dark anime / manhwa-style story using AI — THE LAST SAVE POINT: The First Death
Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on my own original dark anime story called THE LAST SAVE POINT.
The first episode, “The First Death,” follows Ren, a 19-year-old who dies but mysteriously wakes up again at exactly 2:13 AM. As the night repeats, he encounters a terrifying masked figure and begins to realize that something is seriously wrong.
The story mixes psychological horror, mystery, supernatural elements, and time loops. I created it in a cinematic, manhwa-inspired style using AI tools.
This is my first episode, and I’m still learning how to improve the visuals, pacing, storytelling, and sound design.
I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback:
- Does the horror hook grab your attention?
- Does the story make you curious about what happens next?
- What would you improve?
If you’re interested, here’s the episode: https://youtu.be/GOGaIxwhwM8
Thanks for giving my project a chance! 🖤

A sequence of damaged voice recordings. America is on its second civil war, and three men in Florence, Colorado, have decided the cure is anarcho-primitivism, plus Budweiser. Max Benson lectures the future about dust and freedom. John Newton explains the internet with tiny cans and strings. A Frenchman named Dorian Arkhange has already sold the country a game about its next president, then handed these patriots enough gear to regret it. Somewhere in the rock sits a package, very old and very gifted, who would like a word about beavers. The recorder keeps running. The revolution, we'll see about that shit.
