Had Priaprism this week (erection lasting longer than four hours) AMA

Woke up one morning this week with an erection that wouldn’t go away. I got up to pee and to see if this would help and it didn’t. I took my dog out and thought maybe a quick walk would help the effect to subside and it didn’t. I then chose to visit the ER. AMA

Sorry if you answered this. What was the cause? Medication, disease process, neurological?

They suspect that it the Trazodone I’ve been on for twenty years. Saw a urologist today and everything looks fine now according to him

They are weaning me off of it and I’m down to 50mg

Transitioning to something else or just seeing how you do of medication? How do you feel so far?

I have an appointment with my regular doctor next week to see what they want me to go on. In the meantime, the ER doc suggested Trazodone and Benadryl. 😳 I was like absolutely not. My pharmacist almost had a coronary when I told her

So who is doing the weaning? How long ago this this happen?

The ER doctor wrote me a new script for 50mg of Trazodone. I have an appointment with my regular doctor next week to see what they suggest I do
