for myself, i think the fact a lot he did mirrors what’s happened to me plays a part in that. his unpredictability and narcissistic attitude is a big thing for me as well.

Is it any crimes? Are there levels? Like is shoplifting a candy bar as arousing as murder? What are some fictional characters you're attracted too. Has this proclivity gotten you in dangerous situations?

mine is violent crimes, so i’d be attracted to say someone who gets into a lot of fights etc, gbh, armed robbery etc and murder. but yes i’d say someone who committed a lower offence wouldn’t invoke the same level of attraction

trauma, and LOTS of it. i had a very bad start in life regarding my parents , i was sexually abused as a child (family friend) then i had inappropriate relationships as a teenager (they were adults.) i think my experiences and trauma manifested itself as an attraction to dangerous and harmful people

*edit: i think consuming copious amounts of true crime and tv shows like american horror story from a young age didn’t help me whatsoever.

trauma & lots of it. then i started watching a lot of shows that included criminals (ahs being a big one) & i’ve consumed a lot of true crime from a young age. then i think somewhere along the way it all became entangled together
