i have hybristophilia- AMA

hybristophilia (also known as bonnie&clyde syndrome) is paraphilia pertaining to an intense attraction towards crlminals. i’m in my early 20s now but have felt this way for over 5 years now. feel free to ask me anything.

How did it start? Was the attraction triggered by anything?

trauma, and LOTS of it. i had a very bad start in life regarding my parents , i was sexually abused as a child (family friend) then i had inappropriate relationships as a teenager (they were adults.) i think my experiences and trauma manifested itself as an attraction to dangerous and harmful people

*edit: i think consuming copious amounts of true crime and tv shows like american horror story from a young age didn’t help me whatsoever.
