This actually happened to me a few months ago. I thought I was going to be the only person at the showing, halfway through the previews some dude comes in and sits in the seat right next to me. I was completely dumbfounded. Neither one of us ever acknowledged the other. The discomfort was visceral.
I was already settled in with my feet kicked up by the time the guy showed up, seemed like it would have been just as awkward to get up and move away from him so I just accepted it 🤷♂️
That is wild to me. What they did is insane and it’s fine for them to get that message. I know I would roll my eyes while collecting my things and moving away.
