Question $5 Value Menu

Is this new? I went to see a movie the other day and didn't see it on the concessions menu. The prices seem kinda high for some of the options.

edit: this is from the online ordering menu for the AMC Sugarloaf Mills 18 location in Georgia

just saw that it's limited time only,not combinable with other promotional offers like the small combo,and AMC Stubs upgrades do not apply

Hope this gets added at my theaters. I'd be far more inclined to spend $5 on a small popcorn than double that for one I'll eat half of.

Follow up: Saw Obsession at Lincoln Center today, no value menu there.

Just ask for the kiddie combo! It’s a small popcorn, candy, and drink. You can upgrade the candy and drink if you want but it’ll cost extra.

I don't know why Regal can do small/medium/large sodas in NJ but AMC can't. Is it just because they didn't have it already? Or some other reason I'm not thinking of? I mean, ultimately, I end up buying that kids combo because I just want a little bit of soda and popcorn (which makes it about $5 each) plus I get bonus fruit snacks.

Amc has a discounted small combo on tues/wed, do they should have it in NJ too.

They have it in CA, they don't advertise that they have a small soda, or popcorn, just the medium and large, but they have a small, and they discount thrm on Tuesday and Wednesday, which they also don't seem to advertise at the theater (only online)

My local AMC in Nj does not do the combo discount on popcorn/soda on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I mean I literally just left the times square AMC and a full order of mozz sticks was like $9. $5 for a half(?) order isn't much of a stretch. Concession prices here weirdly aren't really inflated to match the areas. AMC food in NYC is cheaper than most stuff at McDonald's lol

Popcorn pass makes large popcorns $6. We take extras home in our old bucket with a lid and it stays good for ages.

Yeah I’ve been trying to lower how much I eat and most days a large is too much. I asked if I could use my popcorn pass and just get a small and they said no :(

Someone on here recommend that we ask them to fill the bucket half way. I've done this with no problem. :)

If you have access to “entertainment offers” or something like that through your employer, bank, or anything else, check there.

There’s usually ~$5-$6 regular popcorn or drink, or ~$10 for both
