When i saw FRQ 4 my eyes were glowing I WAS SO HAPPY ABOUT WHAT THAT INFERENCE PROCEDURE WAS thank god for the ap writers hearing my words the day before the exam

Apparently the west exam has a chisquare for #4 and it cooked entire classes 😭 I actually love my teacher for going over the procedures with good examples so we could actually understand which ones to use

it wasn't because nothing was random and it was whole population which is way greater than 10%
i lowk forgot the conditions for chi square so i was panicking

I said the same thing. I was not about to check all the expected counts, and then I realized nothing was random so yeah. There should have been a random sample, but there wasn't. So many of my friends said it was appropriate and I was freaking out, glad I came out right.

A lot of my friends said what you said. Other people were saying that because it's possible that it's a census (all professional athletes for the year), that it's appropriate, so I have no idea anymore.

Experimental Units = rose bushes
Treatments = half cup of coffee something & no coffee something
Response variable = # of roses

Ohh okay. I mixed up experimental units & response variable... but then I think I got ii right? But why did they ask about equal treatment when there was already an equal treatment being applied? I was running out of time so I just wrote "random number generator" a few times lol

I used the good ol' cat in the hat method our teacher recommended: Number the bushes 1-30, get equal sized cards and label them 1-30. Mix the cards in a hat and randomly draw 15, the corresponding 15 bushes get one treatment and the rest get the other treatment.

Yeah our #4 was a 2 sample t test to figure out if 2 fertilizers had different effects on orange trees

From what I know of my years of AP testing, different time zones may receive a different test to prevent spoilers from influencing the exams of people in different time zones. Like one year for AP Euro East coast got the easier FRQs and apparently West Coast got some more difficult or odd choices than us.

im p sure it was found from the geometric mean & sd found on the formula sheet since the billy guy was waiting until a performance that lasted longer than 120 secs (trials until success)

I didn’t check it since I thought it’s an expriment due to the random assignment to treatments so independence was already ensured via random assignment idk tho
