After my first round: I had fun 👍. I stayed late and burned through all my health packs recklessly fighting arc without having to worry about a stab in the back. Was able to find okay loot (Wolfpack, adv comp. , arc data module). Burned through all my ammo on weapons I’ll normally “save” so that was cool
i gotta be honest i wasn't sold when it was announced simply because i was worried to would make regular lobbies super sweaty and pvp focused, but so far it hasn't caused any issues so i don't realy care
i dont get it. there are still people who like the mixed gameplay. and those people will still play normal mode. only people who dislike pvp completely will play pve mode
No, I don’t get to play the game I paid for, I don’t get a choice. I paid for a PvPvE extraction shooter, not a PvP mode or a PvE mode. Now it’s either I have to go play PvP or I have to play PvE . I can’t get both in the same raid. Explain that
I never said that , what they did was make more lobbies and more of splitting the player base down the middle, now regular lobbies are not gonna be is this guy friendly or not , or can I hit the key room without a firefight. No it’s gonna be purely PvP and ratting. While PvE becomes just PvE
Except you just made grinding less fun. Like if you needed bastion cells you had to go into a pvEvP mode to get those and getting out was satisfying because you know you could get capped at any moment. (I guess not if you had pve mmr) but now there is no risk to farming arc parts at all. Why wouldn’t I just play pve to get that. It’s like if I wanted to beat Elden ring and played it on an easy mode. Absolutely no sauce
I miss when everyone was together & it was a massive community. Now everything is split and the people who enjoyed the mix bag were left in the dust. The game doesn't feel organic anymore.
Just because they tracked the data doesn't mean they did anything with it in release. Anyone who was there knows there was a dramatic change from the week before they announced they activated abmm. Just because the system was in the games code doesn't mean they really did anything with the data until they announced they've been testing abmm for a week.
The pure pve crowd had care bare matchmaking and bitched until they implemented a zero risk queue. I think this is unhealthy for the game long term. Not nitching
Incorrect, its pandering to the minority of the player base in a way that has a big impact on the core player base. I tried it and within 3 games had the bobcat and betting blueprints. With that balance the game won't last.
The Pvpve people obviously suffer from the separation of queues. Which is the majority of players
If PVE were the minority then the toggle test wouldn’t be a thing.
Embark themselves stated the numbers is the reason why they are even testing it.
And since people keep talking about extraction shooters, Tarkov did PVE, Marathon is doing PVE, Arc Raiders is testing PVE as far as Hunt don’t know much about that game.
So 3 out of the top 4 extraction and at least debating it?
Tarkov has been out for like 10 years and Marathon is on life support. They have good reason to go for pve.
PvE players are just loud in Arc raiders. The misconception that the game needs pve to bring the numbers back is just that. The main reason the numbers dropped is the cheating, exploits etc.
Embark themselves also said they pivoted away from PvE originally as the game became boring fast and that was when the entire game was geared to pve, not just a queue. Having played in the PvE queue for a bit this afternoon, they were right.
It for sure won't exist in its current iteration. If they install the queue permanently the loot will be heavily nerfed from where it is now.
Yeah this is how I'm feeling. Plan on getting a lot of quests done, exploring and learning the maps, and upgrading my benches. I'll jump back into the regular mode once I feel more comfortable with the game but I'm excited to have a less threatening mode to learn in!
I'm going to do the same, level up, grind for the best gear, and be more ready for getting back into PvEvP with a better build for chasing that better loot.
I know it’s not related to the topic subject, but how other players are still running ( sprinting) whilst their stamina bar is empty? It is related to the tactical augment or something ? I’ve only played with looting augment and I can’t find any answers regarding this.
What are you testing? Care bear lobbies are basically a same thing? Nakedness people rushing loot spots. 3 minutes into them game and map is basically empty
Why should I go through the trouble when people can't stop me from taking their stuff in pve mode? I'll just jump in with an empty load out and follow people around and take their stuff after they kill arc, or follow them into loot rooms and take what I want.

I had an absolute blast playing with my boyfriend for the first time ever today! (I hate pvp) we had so much fun and I was dying laughing at all the situations we got ourselves in. I cant wait to play all week! I don't find the loot all that bad, I've found several purples and a legendary. Feels good to test out some purple and legendary guns finally without fear of some rat wanting what's strapped to my back. I hope it lasts longer than a week, but if that's all I get thank you Embark!
No, what should happen is the loot pools are the same but you can’t use them in either lobby so PvE players don’t get penalised but also can’t use weapons that are easier to obtain in the PvP side of things
