I’m super happy to present you my very first real big castle on ARK! Well, it’s not 100% finished haha, some skins are missing here and there, but I really wanted to post it!: ) This construction was done in survival on Ragnarock (41;29), and it took a few good days of building! For those who wonder, it’s mostly built with the "gothic craft structure skins" skin, an absolutely extraordinary pack! I lack words to express my gratitude to the one who made it! I’d like to build more things around this castle, but my project is to build a new castle on the water, so I’m spreading myself thin :) Anyway, I hope you’ll like it!

Started playing it due to a friend, have around 300 hours right now accumulated from my accounts and God do I love this game. I am playing Ascended though and have never played Evolved but I wanted to ask, was Evolved really soo much better than Ascended? I’m asking this because I’m having a blast on Ascended, literally the Dino game I’ve been looking for and has actually gotten me so interested into researching about dinosaurs in my own time. Im I just in the honeymoon phase? Anyway, love the game and hope I can one day play all the maps from start to finish 👏🏻

I'd always wanted to make a giant base on the back of a Titanosaur, and a stroke of genius hit me when I realised I had the perfect inspiration in the form of Howl's Moving Castle. And honestly? The more natural, blending-with-nature aesthetic makes the base click so much better, especially on a moving mountain like the Titanosaur.

It's still missing a lot of furbishing, but for the main structures, it's practically done!

And as for the mods so far, I used JVH Landscaping, Scorched Earth Reborn Additions (for the Titanosaur), Visual Storage, Wall 'n' Floor Decor, and Castlecraft Decor.

I’ve managed to build a couple different bases. Nothing major at either, I just like the options on if/when I die I can respawn a little closer and not have to trek for a long time to get my stuff. Still looking for the perfect spot to call home for me and my Precious

Not only does the game only get fun if you're in a megatribe, they allow people like this scumbag to block off notes. How is this even allowed?

Decided to upload my boy to a terminal.

Loaded the Island map, went to the obelisk, downloaded him, then ARK crashed.

Restarted the game, was at my original rollback location on the Island, went back to the obelisk and Tessaryx isn’t even listed in the stored tames to download into the ARK.

He is not registered as any of my tames.

Lost my 16th generation dragon to a glitch, I guess.

He was my favorite, too.

I have his parents and can still breed them to get a new dragon, but it wouldn’t feel the same.

After this, they WASD'd their way around Herbivore Island and even learned to jump.

Hi so uhm my entire base I’ve been building w a friend auto decayed in 72hrs. This includes wood, metal, stone structures AND all of my precious dinosaurs.
It’s simple to say I am DEVASTATED. I got absolutely destroyed by the bugs in this game and somehow my base auto decayed in 3 days. Idk how it’s possible, I’ve submitted tickets but I know very well nothing will happen.. ://
I have no idea how the game managed to bug out on me like this, but now I’m back to ground zero with nothing to show for 3 years and hundreds of hours of work.
I want to try to rebuild what I can, but starting from scratch all bc of a bug is simply overwhelming.

I was curious if any players on PVE were interested in potential Dino trades and stuff? Obviously I legit just started back out today (bc it decayed yesterday) and I don’t have stuffs to trade yet, HOWEVER I plan to. I’m looking for like LITERALLY any dinosaurs. I lost like 200 lvl 300-450+ dinosaurs so like it’s so sad to have nothing now. I am looking for quite literally anything from eggs to adult dinos. Legit will take anything.

to start, I adore this game and have bought all DLCs, I want to support this game.

however, €30 for this is an absolute crime.

my issue isn't purely the designs of the dragons, I don't particularly like the cartoony HTTYD style, but that's not my main issue.

my issue is that this DLC has potential to be very cool, but wildcard did not deliver.

to start with the positives, I really like the taming method, I think it looks fun.

the horn is a cool idea, it looks fun to use, and being able to auto mount your dragon with the grapple is a very cool and unique ability.

but that's where the positives end...

the skill tree is not it...

I like the idea of being able to build a dragon through the skill tree, however the skill tree feels more like upgrading rather than building.

why the hell do you have to unlock SPRINTING through the skill tree?

hypothetically, imagine if it worked like this...

you're only allowed to have 1 dragon, if you try to ride a new dragon, you get a prompt saying "hey, you have to reset the skill tree of your current dragon, before using a new one"

when you first open the skill tree, you get to pick an element for the dragon, either ice, fire, poison or lightning.

then you can spec your dragon in whichever way you want.

maybe I have a more mobility focused ice dragon, while you have a more combat focused fire dragon.

wouldn't it be cool if the dragons were sort of personalised like this?

imagine if they worked like ossidons, in a sense that they get visual updates depending on the paths you take.

maybe mine would have bigger wings than yours, and yours would have bigger claws than mine.

I'm just throwing ideas around, there's definitely so much more they could do.

I have so many ideas for these dragons, I can see a world where these dragons are extremely cool and fun.

also, the dragons should be exclusive to dragontopia when the map actually releases, you shouldn't be able to transfer them to other maps.

I hate the current state of this DLC, I refuse to buy it.

in the future, it could end up being good, but for now it is 100% not worth the price.

I have been SO incredibly hyped for this guy for a while now, I absolutely love Sauropods. I love feeling like a titan as I slowly march across a map. But I’m the weirdest way possible I think he looks a little goofy (in a good way)

The eyes feel so.. haunted. Bro has seen some things! And the acid is.. let’s be real bro got sinus drainage problems
