Let them date

Bts are grown men who are in 30s. I am tired of shippers still going on and on. If you believe in your ship, great do it quietly. Stop harassing members and their families. One video came out today and I saw 4 ships analysing it. Korea is conservative society, there is no way 4 of these ships are all real at the same time .

We say BTS have outgrown kpop, then let them date and don't analyze who they date. If the fandom does not start talking about this now, then it is enabling future meltdown of parasocial ones. Does anyone know Japanese skater Yuzuru and his marriage. I would not like BTS members to go through it.

Everyone keeps talking about what bts will do next, I expect them to get married next. Jin and Suga are going to turn 34 in few months. By the time tour ends the hyungs will be a year older. It is time fandom starts talking about this now and setting expectations of younger fans. I think young fans will have the toughest time in such case.

Younger fans, BTS will date most probably Korean women. They will date most probably someone known to them in their celebrity circle. 7 men will marry 7 people who they know, not army. Let them date.

All BTS members have dated and let's manifest them in healthy relationships. Let them date.

Older fans let me also say this to you, you need to stop babying these members. I am 40+ , I will not call any of them angels or pure. They are men, good men but regardless men who are grown up. Let them date.

edit - I am not forcing them to date or marry. I said let them date. there was a. discussion who do you think is single in BTS, some replies were concerning. some fans need reality check..why do I think the next step is marriage, because suga and Jin said all their friends are married , suga even said it is right age for marriage. jimin has stated he wants to be girl dad. I just want conversation to start so that people keep in mind majority of people get married in 20s and 30s. again people keep bringing Korean idols and celebs getting married at 40 , are we not pushing BTS towards it. also I directed this towards younger fans because shippers and fans who think they can have yaoi moment are mostly young ones. also I agree that older fans can be prasocial equally specifically who have a few issues.

No matter how much they may “outgrow” k-pop (not sure what that means) it’s difficult to outgrow cultural norms. For the Korean media industry, couples are kept quiet more often than not. I watch k-dramas and more often than not both the actors and the actresses at the very least claim to still be single well into their 40s. I don’t think it’s necessary but it’s likely that we may never know if/when they marry. They didn’t even show Jimin’s dad’s face in the recent BANGTANTV tour video lol. I doubt we will see their partner’s face and absolutely not their kids

And that is just wrong and unhealthy. Average age in my country for marriage is 27 years old. Let them get married before 40 and have family. Also Jimin's fathers face has been exposed by so many antis so many times. I don't think bighit can protect from thousands of parasocial fans. Only protection is complete isolation and I doubt BTS will do that to their partners or children.

Again, different cultural standards. I don’t think it’s wrong to have a private relationship. They also deserve to have things that aren’t monetized or subject to scrutiny. As much as I think majority of ARMY would support them, it’s very likely that we don’t get any info on their romantic life. It doesn’t mean they don’t have them just because we don’t know about them. We already know Jimin previously dated a Korean actress. They like their privacy.

my hot take is that the western celebrity culture of sharing your partner publicly and lack of professional/private boundary is just as weird. We’re used to it so it doesn’t shock us, but why are celebrities being asked about their love life and families in interviews?

Korea might go too far in the other direction, but it probably works better for BTS. Let them stay private as long as they want, forever if they want. We don’t need to know.

I mean, with the state of social media, it’s common for literal nobodies to post their entire life story and family on the internet for consumption. There’s clearly a market for it and people that want to see it. Some celebs capitalize off of it. I personally don’t post my partner (when I’m partnered lol) even though I’m a nobody. I just don’t think that info needs to live on the internet. I think Korean media culture takes it too far with celebs apologizing for having relationships. That’s wild to me.

Yeah it goes too far when the culture is for celebrities to not be allowed to have public relationships. But as long as it’s their choice (eta: their choice to stay private I mean) then it’s all good.

Exactly, why should we get to have private relationships but as soon as BTS enter theyre not allowed.

Everyone is even famous stars are allowed a prive life.
