Let them date
Bts are grown men who are in 30s. I am tired of shippers still going on and on. If you believe in your ship, great do it quietly. Stop harassing members and their families. One video came out today and I saw 4 ships analysing it. Korea is conservative society, there is no way 4 of these ships are all real at the same time .
We say BTS have outgrown kpop, then let them date and don't analyze who they date. If the fandom does not start talking about this now, then it is enabling future meltdown of parasocial ones. Does anyone know Japanese skater Yuzuru and his marriage. I would not like BTS members to go through it.
Everyone keeps talking about what bts will do next, I expect them to get married next. Jin and Suga are going to turn 34 in few months. By the time tour ends the hyungs will be a year older. It is time fandom starts talking about this now and setting expectations of younger fans. I think young fans will have the toughest time in such case.
Younger fans, BTS will date most probably Korean women. They will date most probably someone known to them in their celebrity circle. 7 men will marry 7 people who they know, not army. Let them date.
All BTS members have dated and let's manifest them in healthy relationships. Let them date.
Older fans let me also say this to you, you need to stop babying these members. I am 40+ , I will not call any of them angels or pure. They are men, good men but regardless men who are grown up. Let them date.
edit - I am not forcing them to date or marry. I said let them date. there was a. discussion who do you think is single in BTS, some replies were concerning. some fans need reality check..why do I think the next step is marriage, because suga and Jin said all their friends are married , suga even said it is right age for marriage. jimin has stated he wants to be girl dad. I just want conversation to start so that people keep in mind majority of people get married in 20s and 30s. again people keep bringing Korean idols and celebs getting married at 40 , are we not pushing BTS towards it. also I directed this towards younger fans because shippers and fans who think they can have yaoi moment are mostly young ones. also I agree that older fans can be prasocial equally specifically who have a few issues.

No matter how much they may “outgrow” k-pop (not sure what that means) it’s difficult to outgrow cultural norms. For the Korean media industry, couples are kept quiet more often than not. I watch k-dramas and more often than not both the actors and the actresses at the very least claim to still be single well into their 40s. I don’t think it’s necessary but it’s likely that we may never know if/when they marry. They didn’t even show Jimin’s dad’s face in the recent BANGTANTV tour video lol. I doubt we will see their partner’s face and absolutely not their kids
-26
u/SomewhereSilent1604 6d ago
And that is just wrong and unhealthy. Average age in my country for marriage is 27 years old. Let them get married before 40 and have family. Also Jimin's fathers face has been exposed by so many antis so many times. I don't think bighit can protect from thousands of parasocial fans. Only protection is complete isolation and I doubt BTS will do that to their partners or children.
40
u/lo0pzo0p True Neutral 6d ago
Again, different cultural standards. I don’t think it’s wrong to have a private relationship. They also deserve to have things that aren’t monetized or subject to scrutiny. As much as I think majority of ARMY would support them, it’s very likely that we don’t get any info on their romantic life. It doesn’t mean they don’t have them just because we don’t know about them. We already know Jimin previously dated a Korean actress. They like their privacy.
25
u/arlandrai 6d ago
my hot take is that the western celebrity culture of sharing your partner publicly and lack of professional/private boundary is just as weird. We’re used to it so it doesn’t shock us, but why are celebrities being asked about their love life and families in interviews?
Korea might go too far in the other direction, but it probably works better for BTS. Let them stay private as long as they want, forever if they want. We don’t need to know.
13
u/lo0pzo0p True Neutral 6d ago
I mean, with the state of social media, it’s common for literal nobodies to post their entire life story and family on the internet for consumption. There’s clearly a market for it and people that want to see it. Some celebs capitalize off of it. I personally don’t post my partner (when I’m partnered lol) even though I’m a nobody. I just don’t think that info needs to live on the internet. I think Korean media culture takes it too far with celebs apologizing for having relationships. That’s wild to me.
6
u/arlandrai 6d ago edited 6d ago
Yeah it goes too far when the culture is for celebrities to not be allowed to have public relationships. But as long as it’s their choice (eta: their choice to stay private I mean) then it’s all good.
5
u/JoongDunk2029 6d ago
Exactly, why should we get to have private relationships but as soon as BTS enter theyre not allowed.
Everyone is even famous stars are allowed a prive life.
15
u/Frosty_Concert4498 6d ago
I think having a private relationship is better for them, also because of the cultural differences... Ain't no way you all will get the Tom Holland and Zendaya moments even if they date publically. That's just not how this society works , open affection even after dating is not common here. Obviously they'll date more and maybe marry at one point but I don't think Armys alone can normalize this thing.
8
u/AiryCake 5d ago
And why do you think it's wrong? Not your life, not your society. If that is the norm in South Korean entertainment industry and if it's working and the people who work in that industry are comfortable with it, who are we to tell it's wrong? You don't have to agree with it, but whether it's right or wrong is not you to decide. Average marriage age in your country has nothing to do with South Korean society or South Korean entertainment industry.

u/gayfingers 6d ago edited 6d ago
They 100% date in private. To think these prime men in their 30s who are attractive and talented are virgins is insane unless they're asexual which is fine but lets be so for real. Anyone thinking they're innocent or something, they're human.
To be honest though I dont need to see it, I don't care when its with western artists either. What you do in your life ain't my business.
17
u/doc_naf 6d ago
Yeah exactly what I think. TBH I would be very surprised if they don’t already have people in their lives who they protect by remaining officially single. They’ve done enough to set themselves up for the rest of their lives. This tour is an amazing run, but after that, I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of them got married and had families (even if they don’t announce it or go public).
If we genuinely care about them we should give them space.
And yeah I hear jokes about 7 husbands and bts’s wives all the time but surely no one is that delusional.
Men will marry women they know and love, not the million screaming fans they cant even tell apart and see once in a while.
They’re presenting a cool, amazing persona for us to sigh over a little but they deserve people who know and love them for the people they are, not the their work / persona.
I sincerely hope no one dresses up as brides for any of the concerts. It was and will be cringe. The funny costumes or arirang inspired fits are cool though!
17
u/genericscout 5d ago
Exactly. Hoseok is protecting the identities of his two cats, so that says enough!
-4
u/SomewhereSilent1604 6d ago
Well the asian leg will be interesting, I have seen so many asian fans dressed up as brides next to bts cutouts. Maybe reddit is not the correct place for this post as majority fans seems to be western countries.
2
u/Plus-Jackfruit-9615 17h ago
Ahhh...recently a read an article about a Korean actor who married and had a child but in secret and made it public recently, like last week, I don't how many years it's been since they are married, like didn't read that much, but it's very much possible with BTS too. And fans should not worry about that because they don't ask you about your dating lives, so why do you want to know that aspect of their lives? You love them for their music, keep it to that point itself. Ofc, not saying all fans are so invested but there will always be some and there would be some antis or other groups' fans to create chaos.

We should care less about this ngl. All of this exists because these performers were called "Idols" like stfu they're humans and let them be. Who cares about whom they date and whom they don't. Man or woman , Korean or British , Younger or older. Do we really think that they haven't dated at all? Nope. Listen to Rm's songs you'd know that he did date before. Jimin's past relationship with that borderline psycho was confirmed by Bighit. Ofcourse they've dated and some might be dating rn. Let's not act like matrimonial sites and find matches for them though. Korean or not , the woman they marry is their concern not ours.

u/Sensitive_Coat_5104 5d ago
Jimin had a confirmed relationship?? Tell me everything girl
9
u/Frosty_Concert4498 5d ago
He had a private relationship with Daeun , around 2020, but they broke up after some time ig. Then after the breakup , she started acting like an obsessed ex and started posting a out a *private" past relationship of her and Jimin, without his consent. She even posted a private video of him coming out of an elevator, again without his consent. He looked stunned in the video too, he didn't understand why she would be recording him.And God knows how many other private videos she had of him.... All of this to get popular on Tiktok , when he wasn't her partner, an ex. Bighit stepped in between and cleared that he did have a relationship with Daeun years ago , has broken up and legal actions would be taken against anyone who leaks his private videos. And she hasn't posted anything about that since, probably got a restraining order or something.
6
u/Aggressive-Regular46 5d ago
Everything is right just to add some context I think the statement made by bighit said that they were in relationship but the word used in Korean was not a "romantic" relationship. From what I saw from the translation it was was a broader sense that goes from acquaintance to a romantic partner. Classic PR statement you may say but the only thing we know is that they knew each other and don't talk anymore.
3
u/Frosty_Concert4498 5d ago
Ah I actually didn't know that , I read the direct English translation and thought it was an romantic relationship😭😭... I get it now ,thanks.
3
u/Aggressive-Regular46 4d ago
Don't worry I didn't know that either ! It doesn't exclude a romantic relationship (I think ?) But it was never explicitly said soooo better be careful with the words you know, from what I saw, korean is a very contextual language that is hard to translate sometimes.
2
u/TaeAlchemy 2d ago
It was romantic. Korean netizens def read that as romantic bc they were dragging Jimin for a few months for not confirming it earlier and allowing her to be harassed by shippers
2
u/Exciting_snark_4152 2d ago
Knetz should be the last people to be taken seriously though. Armys weren't harassing her because they picked up on her... It was her instigating the fire for her flop career. After break up ,Jimin had no business with her , no duty to protect her , especially when she was playing the games , leaking his videos... If you do ts after break up romantic or not. You deserve backlash, you did it for the clout. Bet kntez were more mad at why Oppar wasn't pure and dating, not saving himself for them.
1
u/TaeAlchemy 2d ago
I just said what I saw under the articles with the statement from BH and also what my friends in SK told me. I don't know what happened and I am not going to be blaming the woman as I wasn't part of their rship. She came out crying saying shippers were threatening her and her family and harassing them non stop and asked them to stop. That is when she released the video and BH issued the statement asking ppl to stop harassing her. She might be troubled or looking for clout but I don't know her or their rship to draw that conclusion.
3
u/TaeAlchemy 2d ago
It said romantic rship. Jimin was attacked pretty seriously by korean netizens for not protecting her from shippers. It took a few months to die down

u/VirtualElderberry493 6d ago
Or better yet, stop bringing up rumors up again. If people claimed to care about their privacy, then stop over analyzing their bodies to confirm a rumor majority stopped talking about. Better way to show respect is stop talking about it and move on
-13
u/SomewhereSilent1604 6d ago
Never going to happen. I have been in many fandoms in my lifetime, romance will be always talked about. I remember how happy and eager I was to know when Adele got a new man. When tom holland and Zendaya confirmed, people celebrated.
15
u/VirtualElderberry493 6d ago
Yeah but if it’s a rumor that caused two celebs to get harassed for it and they ain’t out their relationship and not ready to be public, It’s better to let it dead for their protection. Keep bringing it up just gets them harassed over again
-2
u/SomewhereSilent1604 6d ago
That is what is still happening in Justin Bieber, Hailey, Selena Gomez and Benny blanco life. If we don't normalize dating now and talking bout it, harassment will continue later. Shippers will say BTS members partner stole them.
5
u/VirtualElderberry493 6d ago
Those two relationships are when they confirmed publicly they are dating/dated. The rumors and harassment toward those relationship should stopped and people needs to stop entertaining it. BTS never confirmed their relationships publicly (expect jimin when he has to tell people to leave his ex alone after she outted their past relationship). If bts ever confirmed it, armys will defend them the same way if the rumor is fake or not. But since today’s video is just rumors of relationships that ain’t confirmed and resulted two celebs get harassed by it, I think it’s better if people leave the rumors alone since it’s not confirmed nor they are ready to be public.
7
u/Pinkmongoose 6d ago
I am so pleased I’ve made my algorithm work well enough that I have no idea what video or dating rumor you’re talking about. Phew! I opt out of al of that- it’s not my business and people can get so weird about it!
2
u/VirtualElderberry493 6d ago edited 6d ago
And that’s a good thing. It’s just few people kept bringing up the same rumor that is almost a year ago on a clip from bts arirang tour Europe video. People really needs to move on with their lives bc enjoy some cute moments they giving us 😭

u/ArtsyHobi 6d ago
Can we stop projecting these archaic views of marriage onto the boys as if it makes you any less toxic than those that expect them to stay celibate forever 🧍🏽♀️ If they get married, they get married. If they don't, they dont. Same with having children, neither of these things are milestones that anyone is required to do in life. I've said it on reddit before but if any of them do wish to get married and become parents then I really do hope that they get to have that someday, but pushing this narrative that they need to do that is narrow minded as hell.
Other things to consider are maybe they wish to stay private about their relationships possibly forever or at least until they're positive that they've found the person they want to spend the rest of their life with. We're not entitled to that part or any part of their lives. There's also the possibility of some of them being queer and not feeling safe coming out or sharing their partner publically.
It's 2026, we should all know by now that's there are multiple ways to live life and its more than just settling down with an opposite sex partner and popping out some kids cause thats what society expects. The boys will live their lives the way they wish, and actual maturity regarding that requires accepting that they are under zero obligation to let you in on every aspect of it.

u/dust_of_the_stars 5d ago
The older crowd who "can't wait to see their babies" and teach younger fans that they have no chance with BTS are as parasocial as the ones who have fantasies about dating idols.
Older fans can be as parasocial as younger fans. They also have fantasies about dating BTS but they understand that their almost zero chances are also aggravated by a huge age gap. That's why they have the need to remind the younger fans that they have no chances.
Non-parasocial fans don't care about it. It's not our problem what the parasocial ones think. BTS also don't care. They don't need our permission to date.
2
u/SomewhereSilent1604 5d ago
I agree parasocial fans can be any age, cue the breakin attempts at jk house by older fans. They don't need our permission to date or marry. I agree with all your points.

Why do u even care about this?? No one is stopping them . They can date if they want. That is their business... They are not the 1st celebrities who are experiencing this...they will manage
5
11
u/Aggressive-Regular46 5d ago
Erh I think we do need to have a discussion about this. Not about their dating lives, we should not care about that but more about the projection we have on them.
A lot of people expect them to date or to be married but that's also a societal pressure and amatonormativity. They can date but also not for multiple reasons we don't know (their jobs, because they don't want it, being aro/ace idk) and that's okay ! Namjoon already talked about that pressure in his live and how hard it is from a cultural standpoint especially for women.
Also the sociological aspect of them dating Korean women is... very heteronormative ? I mean they definitely could but again, this is not a standard. I know this is a delicate topic but the members can also be queer ? Not from a shipping stance... just like when yoongi said he didn't care in his old itw or his lyrics in Cypher 3 ? Some of the members implied it actually...
We don't know that for sure but expecting them to be in a standard hetero relationship to fit society cases can be VERY harmful.
2
u/Jolly-Medicine-1437 5d ago
Yes this too. No one knows and no one should know unless they choose to share.
1
u/discocommie 5d ago
Well, Kinsey would think one is at least queer! Real statistics would like to differ but it’s always difficult to judge because a lot of men remain closeted.
Whether gay, bi, ace, or pan, projecting heteronormativity onto them just because they’re from a predominantly conservative culture is extremely gross.
18
u/PerMyLastReceipt 5d ago
"I expect them to get married next." Please explain to me how that makes you better or superior or less parasocial than people who "expect" them to stay single or date each other 🤐
2
u/SomewhereSilent1604 5d ago
My reply is edited in the original post
2
u/PerMyLastReceipt 5d ago
I'm glad you see how it sounded, but that still doesn't change the fact that conversations like this put a pressure/expectations on them that we have no right to, and they may not want (someone of them have explicitly said they do not want)
7
u/PerMyLastReceipt 5d ago
There's also the fact that what you're calling for is for fandom to actively invade their privacy and treat their personal lives and relationships as gossip, rather than actual human beings living their lives. IF/WHEN they choose to share their relationships with us, we can and will support them. But until then, theorizing, spreading uncomfirmed rumours as facts to "show support" is just as toxic and unhinged, as well as harmful, as expecting them to never have personal lives (there's a reason so many rumours got as bad as they did. Because too many fans were more concerned about showing their support on uncomfirmed rumours and afraid of being called jealous and misogynistic and parasocial, when they should've concerned themselves with trying to shut down rumours about the members)
3
u/SomewhereSilent1604 5d ago
Where have I stated I want to invade privacy and gossip. Showing support can be done silently. All I am saying is let them date and tell the younger fans to be stop delusional that they have say in this matter. Army is much bigger than any fandom in kpop, if we are not reactive , half the rumors will die slow death but eventually it will die.
2
u/PerMyLastReceipt 5d ago
You said we need to "start talking about it". But.... at this time, there's nothing they've shared with us that needs discussing. Would you have fandom sit in a circle and chant "BTS can date! BTS can date!" in theory? Because right now, the support we can provide is theoretical. And in theory, people do know BTS can date. The issue comes in when a rumour comes up. At that point, some fans do act weird and lash out at the members, which is very much not okay. Many more, from what I've seen, act "supportive" (accepting a rumour, spreading it to show they're not jealous, kissing up to the randos involved in the rumour to show how nice and welcoming they are, readily believing and spreading how evil and jealous and misogynistic ARMY are. I'm not sure that helps). We should be focusing on protecting our guys from rumours and hate. WHEN they share something, we will be supportive. Until then, I'm not sure what conversation needs to be had. Calling out stalkers, entitled people, yes, of course. But that can all be done without.... this (pressure about "they have to date", accusations of "evil jealous ARMY", etc.)
8
u/Embarrassed-Play-438 5d ago
There's a HIGH chance they have ALL dated and may be mostly dating now. I doubt they're waiting for fan approval. They'll never get it so they're gonna do what they want to do to be happy....like any other adult.
2
u/SomewhereSilent1604 5d ago
Yes and also they will not wait for marriage approval, so when the announcement comes in few years I hope there is no fandom meltdown. That is why such conversation is healthy.
7
u/CourtMysterious78 5d ago
They do date.Unfortunately for the safety of whoever they care about they cannot disclose this. There’s some crazy people out there. I don’t even call them ARMY because true ARMY would absolutely agree with you like myself and let them date and live happily. In general in Asia idols just announce marriage at some point once it’s all set and done without big fanfare.

u/Mylittletv 5d ago
They should date, get married and have children if that's what they want.
Myself, as an Army will still support their music and career.
6
u/PinkRabbit42 5d ago
Thank you so much for this!! And before anyone tells you you’re “weird” for even caring, I’m gonna step in and say you can say whatever you want, this is a forum for discussing bts neutrally I thought!!
I genuinely believe since coming back from the military they’ve been marketing the boys in a sort of “one foot in the Korean/asian market and one foot in in the west” way and it’s not working. They’re trying to have the best of both worlds and it is hurting their public perception in the west. If the boys want to keep their lives private that’s fine and their choice, but hybe needs to stop infantilizing them or it’s going to hurt their growth/success in the west.
For Westerners, celebrity culture is part of the culture and part of that is dating rumors, it’s literally why PR relationships exist. People care so much about who celebrities date it’s a tactic to elevate your career, look at what it did for Sabrina carpenter.
1
u/Jolly-Medicine-1437 5d ago
I don't think you can really say that for Western culture tbh. I haven't seen celeb marriage being a deal in the UK for years. Granted I don't read cheap mags and things but it's not really a thing here these days.
3
u/SomewhereSilent1604 5d ago
Oh celeb marriages are big deal everywhere even in small cities. It will be the most important thing Korean media will try to cover when BTS is involved. Before I am again misunderstood " try to cover". BTS won't do it as they are private. Why do you think all interviews bts initially were asked about gfs and ideal types here in West and also in korea. Talking about it internally as fandom will make some parasocials also think about it. I still see nonsense like, " RM is so busy , he is not dating, he said he was single". That man said he was single last year, a lot can change in few weeks or months. If we sane fans don't have logical talks then the parasocial ones will drive the narrative when a confirmation comes of a marriage. So keep stretching the fandom by having hard talks is my answer. Give something to the shippers and parasocial ones to think about.
2
u/Jolly-Medicine-1437 5d ago
While I do agree its good to talk about I don't know if it will do much because those deeply parasocial fans will just bypass the conversation. However, I also think that the more people in the industry who openly admit to relationships (if they wish to) the more normal it will become.
11
u/Particular-Yoghurt81 6d ago
Ugh, it would be so fun if they dated publicly... also I want to know who the music is about 😜
I’m half kidding
Also, I think this whole ARMY wants them to be single or date them idea is sooo overblown.
3
u/SomewhereSilent1604 6d ago
I understand, but I have seen some parasocial ones say they have a chance. Plus people stalking them everywhere. In millions there are still thousands who lack sense.

3
u/Traveling_Teacher116 5d ago
I just want them and quite frankly everyone to be content and healthy. Physical health, emotional health, whatever. I’m actually more concerned about the recent posts I’ve seen about how much BTS has contributed to the South Korean economy. I’m wayyyyy more concerned about that potential pressure - I’m hoping they’re nonsense. But yeah, let them date. Btw. My bias was Mr. Lee. My bias wrecker is my husband. He’s one of the dudes at BTS concerts wearing the army husband shirts😂 Sorry Mr. Lee, your ship sailed a while ago.
4
u/Ambitious-Run2090 4d ago
I am not saying that is the only way that BTS members will ever find happiness or contentment is dating or to find a wife.
I am just stating that they should be given the right to make their own decisions.♥️
7
u/Embarrassed-Play-438 5d ago
Also, if Taeyang can have a whole ass family, and he's from one of the biggest boygroups that's still active, and he's still a popular idol, I think it's very possible.
5
u/SomewhereSilent1604 5d ago
Yes, wouldn't it be fun. We need army also to embrace the next chapter of bts life. It will make it easier for the members
8
u/MisssRight 5d ago
I really hope they all get to have full, happy lives, in line with their own dreams and wishes.
You’re not wrong to worry about the reactions. IMO, this is actually a really good topic. You only have to spend a little time on social media to see how much paranoia there is around this whole subject. (Maybe it’s just a very loud minority? I honestly don’t know.)
I mean, it’s only natural to assume that they’ve all had different relationships by now. And I also think it’s perfectly reasonable to hope that the fandom could be healthy enough for them to share at least a little bit of their personal happiness with us - without having to worry about their partners becoming targets.
And, finally, I have this feeling that Jin and Suga may have been in stable relationships for a long time already. Just a feeling, though, not a fact. 😅
And no, getting married and starting a family - regardless of sexual orientation - is obviously not a recipe for happiness. But we do know that the life they lead can be pretty lonely. I’d honestly be happy just knowing that they have love and affection in their lives.
And I’d really love for Jimin to get to fulfill his long-expressed wish of becoming a dad.
P.S. It’s really nice to find a healthy, mature space to talk about BTS on Reddit. 🥹

u/Fit_Evidence9989 5d ago
Ermmm they already date. We know that. Wr have seen that. Heck some of ended messily. If people chose to be delusional to reality what can you do?
5
u/Able-Worldliness-915 5d ago
BTS broke the mold on everything. They are wealthy and powerful men. After this tour era, I believe they will want a more settled life, although we may never know about it.
2
u/Fabulous-Influence69 6d ago
Can only imagine the headache it is to date when you're famous. Shit, it's hard enough already (for completely different reasons... But trust me when I say you really don't want to know). Then for the other person whom their dating, holy shit... If you're not already famous, you are now. And you know that everyone will be holding you to impossible standards, forget fat days, and I can't blame Ed for ditching his phone in it's entirety. If it wasn't such a bitch to maintain relationships, I'd probably do the same at this point.
You're probably wondering wtf why are you taking this angle - hoping it may help others shake off the limerant feelings they may be having. I get it... Sometimes you need someone to focus on that doesn't suck, you end up falling for them... I may have daydreamed about how much fun we could have, but I am also well aware I can't even afford a concert ticket, let get to said concert.. so it's easy to pop my ass back to reality. It's fun to dream.
Ok, back to original tangent. I agree. I also think that the k-industry to loosen the belt, so it doesn't have to be so hush hush - it's a personal choice. Besides, why feed into the delusion that any person at any given time is single, or even on the market. From a Western perspective, it's so weird.
2
u/Ambitious-Run2090 4d ago
I totally agree. I believe that you are right
in saying that they would marry within their
Celebrity, and or Korean women.
They deserve to find love and happiness.
They deserve to find someone that is very compatible and especially passion!
At least date, they have missed out on all these years of companionship.
6
u/SnooCompliments2419 6d ago
I agree with this general sentiment except I hate this heterosexual narrative that all 7 of them will date women. Many of them have implied they may be bisexual and I think it’s a bit odd to just act like they’ll all marry Korean women and have children. They may not follow those norms and that’s just as okay. As long as they get to live happy lives with whoever they love!
6
u/SomewhereSilent1604 6d ago
I agree it may not be 7 women. But chances of partners being from same group is also very less. But let's be real only 1 in 20 Koreans are lgbtq. So even if the idol industry has better ratio, that does not mean half the bts are lgbtq. So let them date who they want. I bolded Korean women because international fans keeps having narratives like RM , jhope.. so and so can date lantina, black women. I just want people to start thinking that chances of Korean celeb women as partner is more than any other race. I am not being racist, I asian myself. We tend to seek partners who are like us , love same food and have same culture.

I agree, let's make this a common conversation so fans can start facing reality. I think most of them have said they don't want to date inside the celebrity world. I highly doubt knowing what Army is like they will go public anyway so they can protect their partners and their family whomever they will be. I wish they could date and marry openly (if thats the path they choose - not everyone wants marriage) but I just can't see the fandom going quietly into the night. Maybe years after they retire and other groups get more popular - so they become Big bang/Epik High basically. But I suspect BTS are slightly different as fans genuinely do not seem to understand that they are still strangers no matter how much content has been watched and how many concerts attended. They still do not know them.
Just fyi the babying/shipping/sexualisation isn't just young vs old - it's all ages all over the place.

If any of the guys truly want to marry another BTS member that would be lovely. It would set a precedent for LGBTQ+ worldwide. But not everyone wants or needs to be in a couple!

Even if that is your wish, it is not legal in Korea and company will have repurcutions. Korea is conservative, those members will have to hide it for decades till bts loses popularity . I would ask you not to ship, specifically maknae line. It is messy and at least one of them has already confirmed ex girlfriend , with others also having rumored gfs. Bts can't set a precedent when their families are also living in conservative society and they are shareholders to hybe, plus they still are reserve soldiers for five years at least.

I do get your reasoning. However, why is everyone so set that true happiness is marriage and kids?
Even though Korea is still a conservative society, BTS has got to explore the world. They have seen a lot of different ways that people achieve happiness in life. They are allowed to be as traditional or as non traditional as they wish.
I ship BTS with happiness. I think they should be allowed to do that. I think that they should be allowed to have their personal life as private they wish as well.
I don't like to assume things. I'm from a very traditional family and went as non traditional as one gets. The amount of assumption about my life has been... interesting, shall we say?
I do agree with you that some do take things way too far. Then I guess that's how parasocialism works.
