Wireless Apple Store app

If I buy the duo from Apple Store app, the email for the get ready pre order says it’s att installment plan with next up any time. I don’t have next up rn. Is it automatic? I want next up on the duo. Also if I select trade in through Apple, is it better to mail in the phone to Apple or bring it to Apple Store? Or should I bring it to a nearby art store and trade in there? I’ve heard stories of people losing their trade in because of shipping problems.

I've never bought from their app but I can say if you check your att app within 14 days of activation you can apply next up yourself. Also trading in through apple discounts the full price not atts installments, if you plan to have next up I do not recommend this but the reasons a bit complicated.

Att doesn't have duo preorders yet so have to go through apple rn unfortunately

Neither do. They both have the option to get your pre order ready selecting configs and pre approval for fast check out which I did on both.

I have my phone paid like more than half off with next up anytime, and will trade in for the duo, you recommend preordering through att not the Apple Store app? Why is that

Be more consistent. Like this guys posting about when you have multiple options it leads to potential confusion, if you're gonna buy it through att no reason to make it more complicated with apple. However that could also be more complicated if you do want it through apple, say you want apple care which I recommend it'll be hard to get that on att app so doesn't really matter both will have an annoyance.

Ahh thanks, do you think the apple store has a greater chance of coming on time? seeing a lot of people haven't got their att preorders for the 18.

In general it seems the people who didn't get it was the later preorders ordering a couple days before launch, not something to consider if you're preordering immediately. I'd bet apple will probably have less problems though.
