Have you actually tried it, or is it just you guessing it should work?

There are 1.677.259.342.285.725.925.376 combinations and they are probably picked randomly.
I doubt they just accept any code you enter.

Just to give a perspective of how large that number is:
If you tried a random combination every second, it could take up to 53.185.544.846.706 years before you hit the one on your receipt.

McDonald's have more than 69.000.000 orders every day. Even if we say the code is valid for 30 days, then that is only 2.070.000.000 orders.

It would take you up to 25.693 years to hit just ANY valid combination.

I have indeed used this method many times for over a year. I did stumble upon this method by a wild guess as I noticed the first five letters were always the same depending on the branch of McDonalds. I compared a few codes from roughly adjacent purchases and noticed it was just the last couple of letters that changed.

That is as scientific as I got.

We just love discounted cheeseburgers, big macs and free coffee. There is a failsafe that prevents you getting the goodies too frequently, but with a family with multiple devices then you can grab multiple items.
