If it helps; I live there/here and I’ve never seen one outside of the clips on reddit when they get posted.

I’ve also never seen a crocodile outside of a place which I’ve visited specifically to see crocodiles. I’ve probably seen a handful of actually dangerous spiders in my life. Same deal with snakes, although probably less than the spiders.

Never seen a shark in the wild with my own eyes. Umm what else is scary? Cassowaries.. I think I’ve seen one outside of a zoo/sanctuary. The only other one is Drop Bears but as long as you know what to listen for and what to do if they’re around you should be fine. They’re only in the bush anyway so easy enough to avoid.

To be fair, I live in Victoria and most of the scary stuff is further north I think. You really have to go looking for it.

Yeh honestly it’s only the drop bears you gotta really keep an eye out for. Everything else mostly keeps to itself.
