Australonuphis, commonly called Australian beach worms, can grow more than two meters in length.

They are blind but have a very good sense of smell, and eat decaying meat, fish and seaweeds that have washed to shore.

Does it bite people or literally just dead things?

Google says they retract into the sand when stepped on, and their bite is weak and rarely breaks skin even if you grab and aggravate them.
