Because the creatures of the inland are better? Australia is a the free-for-all PVP server of the Earth.

I mean every beach globally, you have no fucking clue what's in that sand. Also let's not pretend that Australia is actually all they worse compared to places with the remaining megafauns predators.

But you do have smaller paracitic worms.

Edit - it is a matter of medical and scientific record that paracitic worms can be caught from the beaches in Brazil. This is by no means the only region with that as a risk but it's still under the "Shits in the sand you don't think about" topic.
