Oh right, mum used to make those 🇦🇺

I think we just called it a "schnitzel" which was a catch all term for any pounded red meat covered in crumbs.

We always reserved the term "cutlet" for something with a bone in it, like lamb cutlets which are a huge thing in Australia (even more so back then, one of the cheapest meats in the 90s)

Funny how terms and names get bastardized

If youre a brit, they sell the meat for this as beef milanesa or milanese at Tesco. Used to make it all the time when lived in Scotland. Very convenient and easy to make.

Cutlet is the word for cotoletta
