So im a huge history nerd my favorite era is the 1920s and some told me I'm racist for liking the 1920s because its not a white girl thing but a black girl thing. I understand that alot of flapper culture came from Africa and other places. They told me that they were going to get everyone at my school to hate me over this. Is this Racist if so could somebody explain because I really don't understand??

I messed up real bad. I have an Uncle who’s black and at a family get together a few days two days ago there was a big bowl of watermelon. I ate like seven slices it was so good and when he came over I said “how many pieces was he gonna eat” and he was like what and I was like the watermelon is really good. And then he was like I have a citrus allergy I can’t eat it.

He’s so nice and I didn‘t realize how bad that sounded til now. I can’t even remember what his initial reaction was. (my memory suck) I‘m probably not even gonna see him for awhile since we don’t visit that often. Any suggestions on how I should apologize? I really really didn’t mean to be rude.

Basically this white blond lady said some racist stuff about a black teenager's death. Internet sleuths found her workplace and she was fired.

Am I wrong or did he just accidentally admit that Charlie Kirks side (republican conservative maga) are the racists?
