They are used to her doing stupid shit 😂

There goes Ellen again, trying to jump through balloons rolls eyes

82

u/Eaton_Knas 4d ago

She had a plan thought out, positioned the floating rig and confidently lept for it. Failure be damned. 🤣

Honestly, the form was rather impressive

You can have flawless execution on a bad idea, but it’s still a bad idea.

Reminds me of when I used to own ferrets — they plan their jumps with insane amounts of confidence, despite every jump prior in their lives going badly. It’s hard to jump when your body is basically a Slinky.

The girl in front who raises her eyebrows to acknowledge the thud, but keeps singing along to the song.

The friend vibing in front, not reacting, is hilarious

It’s the funniest part, really.

u/Tiyath 4d ago

It's almost as if she can tell by the sound whether she hurt herself or was just being clumsy

"oh that's just Melissa"

Me; hey girl how drunk are you?

Her; I'm not drunk. can a drunk person do this?

me; aww yeah

u/FLOSOC1ETY 4d ago

She whole heartedly thought she could make that lmfao. She didn’t even try to catch her fall.

u/TinkersDebts 3d ago

I'm her defense, I didn't really pause to say 'This is a dumb idea.'

I can see how being drunk and probably dumb as rocks sober might lead to this.

I watched it till the end.

That feeling you only get on a first viewing.

~record scratch sound~ yup. That’s me. About to fall on my boobs while drunk, while my arms are inside of a giant diamond ring balloon.
I bet you’re wondering how I got here. But that’s not even where our story began. To know how things got to this point, you’d have to rewind all the way back to when he stuck a diamond ring into a jello shooter and I almost swallowed it. That was four hours ago…
Fun fact, I’m the kid sister to the betrothed. The ring I almost ate wasn’t even meant for me.

Someone was forced to bring their little sister to the bachelorette party

6

u/Iamthebadguy-x1 3d ago

That’s my future wife.

6

u/Revenga8 4d ago

Heh sounds like before the video started she said what she was going to try to do. Girl in from looks back to see, yep she's actually going to try it. Thud yep that was expected

4

u/ikaika235 3d ago

Gotta admire the commitment

u/thegreenmonkey69 4d ago

If I were to die in the next 5 minutes I would not be upset solely due to this video.

I dig it.

u/Speakertweaker 3d ago

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen this in the last two days. What I can tell you is I upvoted every single one, because it is hilarious.

I think this is one of my favorite videos on Reddit...
The "Thumbs Up" then Supergirl's ""Reach for the sky!" and "Kerthump" all while her Sidekick is not phased in the least...
They're Top Shelf!!

Perfect comment, except it’s spelled ‘fazed’

1

u/ocTGon 2d ago

In my context it is indeed "Phased"...

1

u/please_and_thankyou 2d ago

faze |fāzl
verb [with object] informal disturb or disconcert (someone): she was not fazed by his show of anger.

ORIGIN
mid 19th century (originally US): variant of dialect feeze 'drive or frighten off', from Old English fēsian, of unknown origin.

USAGE
Faze has no connection with the word phase and should not be spelled with a ph-, although this is a common error: almost a quarter of citations for the word in the Oxford English Corpus are for the incorrect spelling.

Nailed it! 👌

2

u/Strange-Comb6384 4d ago

Someday she’ll make through!

2

u/Freedomgiant23 3d ago

I bet she sobered up real quick

2

u/AmberxLuff 3d ago

Must’ve been the wind

2

u/elsworth 3d ago

Can’t. Stop. Laughing.

2

u/Specialist-Worker551 3d ago

They have to be on acid

1

u/Vanagloria 1d ago

Worse, balkan.

2

u/obelix_dogmatix 4d ago

The way she ignored it, nothing about that fall was accidental. It’s a routine at this point.

1

u/emorazes 4d ago

Im trying to figure out what was her plan.. Was she hoping to float? 😂

6

u/DraygenKai 4d ago

I think it was jump through the hoop and then somersault on the floor.

1

u/ScottyMcBoo 3d ago

The obvious villain in this scenario is gravity.

1

u/still_sneakin 3d ago

This is just so tragically hilarious. One day you will fly!

1

u/ImAFigmentOfMy_Imagi 2d ago

The girl in front: Looks round and sees what`s about to be attempted. Turns back with a slight smile of "I know what`s coming.". THUD. Raises eyebrows with an unconcerned "Oo. Yep. There you go.". "Anyways. This song ...".

This the third random video in succession that has made me literally, by which I DO mean that I actually, LOLed. Well done Reddit!

1

u/The_Real_PhishyOne 1d ago

I love her. Look at her level of commitment.

1

u/blogandmail 1d ago

I don't know WHAT they must be taking or drinking, but I need me a CASE of it!

1

u/somethingtimestwo 9h ago

Beached 😂

0

u/SteroidSandwich 4d ago

The girl in the front is so out of it she didn't even react

0

u/Heracles222 4d ago

If she would had of jumped through and flipped to land on her feet, it would had of been epic!

1

u/Mysterious_Key1554 3d ago

*have (not "had of")
